    [request] Water splash

When I shoot the water nothing happens, when I jump in water I get a slight water splosh sound.

Is it possible for someone to make it so the water reacts to being shot and jumped on?

        Tuts

        Read http://www.leveldesigner.com/index.p...ion=doc&ID=168
        and
        http://udn.epicgames.com/pub/Content...rfaceTutorial/

And of course what UTroll said, but if you didn't do that, the water wouldn't show rippling in the original maps either.

Im not on about making a level with water, Im on about the way the engine handles water.

Isnt there a way to make the engine make all water have a splash effect when shot kind of like Battlefield 1942 etc.

Uhm, then you're in the wrong forum.
This is "User Maps & Mods".
I'm not sure if you can move this thread... maybe only moderators can?

Anyway, the water splash effect isn't always as obvious.
The best way to see it that I know of is to use the Flak Cannon's regular fire.
Not all bodies of water even have the feature enabled, but for instance Antalus does, so open that map.
Find the little pond, and make sure you have your Flak Cannon.
Now fire a bunch of flak shards, and you should see a "dent", which then turns into a wave...
If you keep firing at the right time, you can get the wave to become even higher.

Again, this doesn't work with all bodies of water, and only the FC shows it off well.
Walking through water is less obvious.
            Oh, try Asbestos as well.
Go to the room with the many ramps.
There is a little sewer-like section filled with Health Vials.
Get in there, and walk through the piece of grating there.
It's technically a fluid surface as well, and it will react to you walking through it.
Set "behindview 1" to see it better.
