The site only shows a few pictures of weapons. There's zero info on the gameplay, features, available weapons, maps, and gametypes.

= Why would I want to download it ?
It looks like it is "generic semi-realistic arcade-shooter wannabe CS-clone for UT'03" ... is it really that boring and lacking in creativity ?

minimal, but we are not really focussing on offline play yet

I'm sure if you bothered actually browsing the site rather than opening it and closing it, you might find sections such as 'The Game', 'Weapons' and 'Media'. Unless of course, you visited fragopsworld, which is actually a fansite. www.frag-ops.com or frag-ops.fragwhored.com is the Official website.

Many people enjoy Counter Terrorism games, and many would like their gameplay to return to how it was before their respective games encouraged camping and generally slow gameplay. This is where Frag.Ops comes in.


Now JaFO, over the time I have been registered here at INA, although I may not post, I have viewed many of your posts, and strongly agreed with your points, and the way you express them, on many occasions. However, lately you seem to be changing your tone from curiously analytical, to bordering on hostile. I dont know whether your just sick of some of the **** that gets posted here, or whatever, and this certainly isn't a personal attack, but rather an observation that saddens me somewhat. Bring the old JaFO back, he's a champ .


Anyways, back to Frag.Ops, Yes 1.2 is out, Yes it knocks the pants off our previous versions, but Yes, there is still a lot to be done

I find the patch to be a major improvement in gameplay, but the game is still too immature in my opinion for me to spend lots of time playing it yet. Its a great start and I hope you guys can take it to good places, but for now I'll stick with troopers and RO

I haven't gotten a chance to play this version yet (almost 10pm my time) and I wanted to get this up onto my site, but I intend to try it out tomorrow.

In the mean time, Frag Ops is once again happily hosted by UT2003HQ and can be found right over here

I like the mod, but the maps really need to be optimized further (some more than others).
I didn't see this on the changelog, so I assume it hasn't been done yet.

It looks like a big improvement though, so I downloaded it anyway

Not exactly...creative games just make you want to play them more to see what they're all about and whats new...this is just a CS-clone which we have all seen before so therfor many people won't even bother trying it...including me

CS was released before TO, although both are same genre, and both have the same basics, TO plays completely different.

I refuse to buy weapons! I played it and I think this pos they call frag ops is actually TO in disguise =) lol.

Anyway it's all a matter of personal preferences! There seem to be lots of people who love it, which is fine by me, it's just not in my favo-list
