    DM-Wilderdeath_demo

    After my recent carcass map, I've been thinking about what next...
    I knew I wanted to do something in contrast to that level, so I started messing with some greenery in ed, and well, ended up with this small, forest scene. It was built yesterday, and I have been tweaking it a bit today...I just wanted to build a map with little fuss, so I went for a 1v1 type of thing and kept mesh creation to a minimum. Please try it out and get back to me with any feedback / bugs you might have / find .

    ..well.
    Geocities is out to lunch, or down , or gone, or something.
    I am at this moment preparing most recent pics and uploading the map elsewhere. One moment please...

      hey, looks nice. I saw could see through a sm close to the Rl gun, and standing on the rl I can see a sharp piece of terrain sticking out of the air when looking up. Its a nice map but one thing I noticed is it seems like all the weapons are coralled into the sides of the map, next terrain map think more about interconnectivity, like you know the rl room? you go up to the ramp and there is the rl, the shiled is off to the left in another "room" why not make the area where the rocketlauncher open up to the shield room? Its stuff like this this map lacks. Also some areas of this map seem just there for the sake of being there. Like some really flat terrain spots that serve no purpose and will never host a fight, since there is nothing there. nice work so far, Keep on truckin man :up:

          Basically I like insane connectivity so I cannot like this map that much because most of the time players are on the same level. I've found quite frustrating trying to cross the pool from the rock. I always fall down losing a lot of time trying to recover. Average players like me have no chance with a master rabbit bot on open space so really is not the map for me.
          If your goal was to experiment projectors... well, they're very nicely done (but trees looks strange... fat & 'compressed'). I'm still trying to find a meaning for the sword and the shield... really, it looks like has been done in a hurry without much care imo. Carcass is A LOT better!

            oh yeah, I forgot to mention the water texture looks too much like the texture of the terrain, Its nice textureing but it looks too similar.

              i really like the use of the corona, but i think it should be on the blade of the sword, and the medal could be shinier.

                Say, what ARE the Antalus rocks anyways? The brown pillars or just any rock-mesh in Antalus?

                  Yeah...I wanted to use someone else's meshes this time.

                  The meaning is in the level pic/intro thing. It really has been done in a hurry, but I have tried to take care as best as possible editing at high speed...

                  It shall be done. I'm also thinking of making the shield a pickup for a special powerup.
