    CTF-Rankin2k5 [Beta] [Pics]

    Name: CTF-Rankin2k5 [2k5 because CTF-Rankin is taken :'(]

    Version: 0.19k

    Compatibility: UT2004 Standard

    Description: This is a convertsion of Rankin to CTF.

    Comments: I've had it lying around on my hard drive for a while and just took it out now to finish it off. It's split at the DD, and the hallway from link to lg is removed as it was a boring path which pulled people away from the action.

    I really need feedback on this, as I want to make it a map based on the community's thoughts, not solely on my own. It is, in the end, for you guys; I doubt I'll be playing it much

    looks pretty cool, but its already an epic map. but i can see that you have made new changes and added some stuff to make it more suitable for ctf.

      Yea. The author tag still has the original author's name in it... Im not taking credit for the design or anthing.

        But you did make some changes, for which you should be recognized. Just how different is it from DM-Rankin?

          Well not too much as I didnt want to wreck the Rankin feel. I've made a new middle section, moved the amp slightly, added more health where needed, blocked off some paths and added some small areas, and added the usual CTF stuff like lights and such.

          Basicly, I don't want to damage Rankin, as it works. I just want to make it as good as it can be for CTF play.

              personally i think you should have done a brand spankin new map in rankin theme, and with a different name as well. Looking at the changes you've done it looks ok, except the red lighting needs more saturation, make the saturation about 30-40.

                Too much like rankin IMO. The first screenshot for example is just the RL area with a red flag. Copying and pasting parts of maps together doesn't impress me much.

                  nice idea, have to see how it works out. sort of like how grendelkeep and q3dm18 made nice ctf levels.

                    I think this loks really interesting. Rankin is a good DM map, as was Grendelkeep, but IMHO Grendlekeep CTF is a better map.

                    I hope the same can be said of this, I personallly think it will. I also dont think there is anything wrong with what the author has done, hes contributing to the community, not seeking a nobel prize

                    Lets have a beta soon, I love a good CTF

                        i think it looks ghey when the coloured lights are too red or blue.
