use the screenshot tags for your images:

[shot ] and [/shot ] without the spaces. Automatically resizes your images.

Also, start a new line where you posted your screenshot so everything is nice and aligned

Otherwise, excellent attempt on a first map, I saw it on HQ.

Are you getting this hosted at 200x HQ?

You forget to say that the map requires the R3tex package by Paul 'TAZ' Mader

i guess i had that texture. should be easy to get with google. still, you should put that in your readme.

like the map. the lower level is loads of fun and takes a lot of skill. love the use of water hole to replace the kill zone in the middle. its real hard to get the DD and survive
the lighting in the lower level could use some improvement. your skybox is cloudy, but maybe it could show just a bit of shadow from the posts and other items. its well made, but comes off a little bland lit evenly everywhere.
the upstairs is way different than Gael. narrow ledge, no pillars to hide behind like down below.
plays fine, but better on the first level

Yeah, i have the texture package too (comes whit Aristocracy), but he needs to copy the textures to myLevel and whit that, the package it's not longer required

            Thz for the feedback all.

I cant believe i missed that texture package, I will have the 2 textures that are the offenders put into myLevel for the next version.

I also aggree with you about the lighting it could do with some work but i'm not sure what to do about the upper level, I do think it needs something doing to it, but i am stuck for ideas :bulb:

and what would you suggest for the skybox??

            J112

P.S. Duffman this isnt a first map

your skybox is fine, i was just saying that to get some realistic shadows coming from some of your pillars on the first level, you might want to add a sunlight actor in addition to or instead of the 3 light sources you have there now. even though its cloudy, there's enough light to cast shadow, if you put one there.

as far as the openess of the second level, unless you widen it (lot of work and might not look good), maybe some (2) narrow arches going from one side to the other, with only a small base attached to the edge of the second story ledge. you could reiterate the wood with metal trim from below so it won't look out of place, and maybe connect the arches at the top with chains like you have over the well. it could be placed so as not to get in players way, but still provide cover from side -to- side shots.

map looks alright, but you've got your meshs and textures mixed up from all kinda themes.

just set yourself on one theme, you've got albatross textures, with aristocracy meshs which don't really fit, and then chinese lights hanging down, totally weird .

Just set yourself on one theme and replace meshs with other ones from the same packages or ones of the same theme.

Looks alright apart from the hay-wire theme mix up.

Hmmmmmmmmm I think that the hanging lamps will definately be removed in the next version as they are quite noticabley clashing.

Seing as the theme it medeval I don't think that the castles and the windows clash.

but that lanterns will definately be ditched.

Has any one got any other ideas

cool. change the albatross textures as well, use some darker brick. Check out the arboera packages, theres a good brick in there and when done right looks good, also try the abbadon package theres a good slate like texture in there too.

update : DM-1on1-Leag beta2 is under production and already it puts its beta 1 to shame .

                      Changes :

                      1. Lighting has been a big issue with this map so i have made it more atmospheric.

                      2. I have totaly ditched the chineese lanterns that were hanging of the ropes.

                      3. I have removed the 2 castles on the outscirts as they just didnt fit.

                      4. I have removed virtualy all of the albatross textures and have replaced them with far superior textures.

not long till beta 2 now
