    DM-1on1-Frostbite

    Ok first of all I like to thank those that played the beta version of my map... I got some great feedback...

    Here is a new version of Frostbite.... I think it is final but I want all of you to test it and let me know how it is.

    There are two things I kind of need help with. One is a volume to block snow... apperntly one of the voumes doesnt block it at all... this volume is located at the upper level connecting the two outdoor areas... it has two tech meshes on the walls with red lights you cant miss it... I was wondering if someone can help me out there and see why it is not blocking the snow... ( the volumes maybe hidden so just unhide them if they are )

    The second thing I need help with is the zones... most places have been zoned but some places like the top most area that meets the sky box and one doorway are not... if I do add zone there apperntly my terrian disappers...why I have no clue... if some one has suggestions to that plz let me know so I can fix that and the other bug...

    Other than that the map is quite solid and plays well I hope you all enjoy

    Looks pretty good, I'll grab it and let u know what I think.

    BTW, DM-Irom Maiden is a great map.

          Great improvement.. FPS is way much better .. flack area change is spot on ... but I've still got such a sore head cause I'm such a jackrabbit at heart and strafe dodge ever-where meaning I kept banging me bonce on the overhead lights/cables and tops of the doorways.

          Other than that small niggle it's a darn nice map.

            Im gald u like it... I just need to fix those two bugs... and also I got some ideas just now to add some more detail in some spots to add a little more edge then I shall realese a final version

              oh sorry man, its just that i had already subscribed to the old one, and I really do think this map is ownage worthy, the layout is simple but sweet, and the scale seems perfect to me, in fact I've actually been looking at it in the ed to look at how you did stuff. I mean I know bsp like the back of my hand but your methods etc. Also the size of the hallways, how high ramps are that sort of thing. I want to do a 1vs1 or 2vs2 map next but I need to do the layout (this is the hardest part of mapping for me.)
              Next map you make you really should make sure people can jump with no hassle tho really, that can be really irritating. But for some reason I dont ever double jump on this map except when I'm like where the lg is,. I love the flow of the map it just works.

                Murphy's Law Is in effect..... I fix one bug a new one spawns its place.... I got the snow volume fixed but now there is some INVISBLE WALL infront of the lift exit on the upper floor.. I delteld some mad stuff like meshes bsp zones but still its an invisible wall there

                        dude, I'm really adicted to this map, I think its the flow and the decent looks and snow as well. cliffy! give it ownage already!

                          Cool map you got there.

                          There's only one problem I have found, and that is this weird little problem with the Adrenaline pills showing through the grating near the Shock Rifle.





                          Please note I play with all details on highest settings at 1024x768 on Alpha (see my sig) if that helps.

                          Other than that, no problems with this map whatsoever. Great flow!

                            actucally I noticed that too...while playing BUT in the editor they are aligned above the grate... its just that grate makes them seem stuck between two floors.

                              :up: This is an excellent level. Nice and tight play.

                              I wonder if some optimization couldn't improve framerates in certain parts, I experienced 20-30 fps in those places.
