    Unreal Underground Recruiting

    The Unreal Underground Mod Team is looking for anyone that can help us out. We could use coders, mappers, sound guys, modelers, ect... anything that needs to be done.

    Unreal Underground is a mod that takes the tournament back to its roots. No, it's not a remake of UT99, it takes place even before that. The premise is that it deals with the tournament before it became legal when it was held by the Liandri Corporation on mining planets and out-of-the way areas. The mod will feature all new weapons that have become illegal as-well-as old favorites such as the razor jack and the AMSD. PM me for an application, or go to http://mods.moddb.com/4593/

      hehe awsome to see this idea taking fold. i'm a learning illustrator so i cant realy help, still learning to model and only a semi mapper :s

        What about an early version of the translocator. Make it have like a 1/30 chance of ****ing up and killing you.

          Yeah, thats a good idea, except I think the chance of it screwing up should be more, around 1/10.
          I'm already involved in a mod though, so I can't help.

            man i would love to help you work on this mod, but unfourtunetly, im hard at work on a map pack. but when im done with that, i would love to help you out.

              If you read in our other thread, we are having a prototype transloc. It has a 15% chance of gibbing you instantly. It also dosen't have a limiter, but if you use it too much and don't get gibbed, we want to try to make it so you hallucinate. Lol!

                  Here's the latest update from our thread in the mod request forum quoted from -G-.

                  "Just a quick update to the thread to save it from page 2 obscuredom. Work is continuing apace, with the custom provisional weapon set decided upon. So to keep you all interested, here goes:

                  1: Impact Hammer
                  2: AutoMag
                  3: AMSD
                  4: CAR (Combined Assault Rifle)
                  5: RazorJack
                  6: TBS (Triple Barrel Shotgun)
                  7: DEAD WS (Dual Explosive Aggresive Delivery Weapon System) - Combined Rocket and Grenade Launcher
                  8: Sniper Rifle
                  9: RailGun
                  10: Superweapon (Shh, its a surprise)

                  Of course, this is all subject to change but its what were working towards at the moment.


                  The first weapon being worked on is the TBS, a few early renders can be seen here:

                        The glitchy translocator *sounds* like a good(gimicky) idea on paper, since it's funny and it fits with the game story/backround, but it's a horrible idea from a gameplay point of view. An alternative would be that maybe you need line of sight between yourself and the xloc or you get gibbed, rather than it being random... Otherwise, I like the idea of the mod, I hope you come up with something cool.
