            Looking Sweet

I've been out of the forums a while... too bad, though, since there are still cool maps being put out. I've never played the original version of this map, but I'm loving the look of the screenshots (even if they are oversized). Is it a low-gravity map?

The gravity is normal in both maps. Although the height of the cave is quite high there are many walkways that will brake your fall and bots use this opportunities very well.

                  very good layout/design
i especially like the use of the tokara forest "feel"
it looks like there might need to be more connectivity between the walkways and terrain below though...
Plus that light shining down from the sky needs to be more soft around the edges. It is unrealistic looking and distracting right now.

Thanx on the suggestions. That lighs that shines through the cave roof are static meshes. I'm not shure that can be changed, those lines will always remain there no mater what shape they are. As for the conectivity - there's 8 or 9 ways to the upper walkways. I thought to put some more (1 or 2) ribcages in the middle area of the map but the time neded for reaching any of them (ribcage or normal way) from any part of the map is about 5 to 10 seconds. And in some places wall dodge jump can realy shorten your way up.
I will concider though, to make one aditional way up.
                    Thax again.

another thing: in the seventh,(last) shot, there is a weird red area on the right side, in the rock. Is that another part of the map that just looks a little weird, or is it a strage artifact.
If i could test the map maybe i could give more feeldback (hint, hint )

Thats red/yelow smoke from remains of a meteor fall (its not reachable area). Behind that rock (in original Neandertalus) there was placed the second redeemer but since the level is now scaled down I've decidet to have just one redemer.

If you want you can try original Neandertalus out:

DM-Neandertalus_LT is finished. The upper screenshots are updated so that's how it looks like now. You can grab it from Unreal Playground:

It's time to make new maps.
