    i just made the out side , I will make all the architecture part
    and when i finish someone need to make the: objective(maybe i learn) the bot path(i will try to make it too) the sky box(have no idea how)

          Yah, feel free to add extra details, as long as it follows the same game plan. IE just add cosmetics, but don't change the gameplay. An enhanced Overlord map would be fun :up:

            i'd love just a conversion of AS-Overlord from UT'99, not Overlord2k4, which looked good IMO, but wasn't the same somehow..... perhaps it had too much detail or something, i didn't like playing it.

                If u gonna make straight port ( stop talking bout remake, when it obiously aint one ) why dont u just copy/paste/scale the hole thing ?
                Takes what, 2/3 hours max

                Btw overlord will suck in 2k4 gameplay wise, useless to port 99 as-maps that need launching to complite.

                  i tryied copy/pasting but seem to not work properly, some of the bsps are rendered in a different scale or somewhere else in the map, it gots all screwed up

                  yeah i noticed that
                  would it be better with ut classic mutator?

                    Don't worry about what the others have said, if done right, this will be the first REAL port :up: Even if you add a little extra details, as long as you take the exact layout of the original and don't change it, it will work. I think the other Overlord map that has been referred to strayed a bit from the original layout and thus why it wasn't the same. IE, terrain sand, bsp sand, same difference. Different tower meshes with more detail, doesn't matter, they're still towers. There's quite a few things you can do without messing up the map.

                      I was doing this once, i had replaced the whole sand and cliffs with terrain (2 terrains to get a nice sharp edge at the base of the cliffs) but it got deleted

                            I figured out how to convert UT99/Unreal1 maps over to 2k4... It took me about 6 hours of wasted time to figure out... But-

                            Open the original map in Ued2
                            Right clikc on one addition brush, and select all addition brushes. Copy them.
                            Open up a new map in Ued 2
                            Paste the brush
                            Make a giant cube brush, big enough that every other brush fits inside of it
                            Intersect it [ctrl+i, I think]
                            At this point you should have an outline of the addition brushes as one single red ... magical brush thingy
                            Export that brush
                            Go back into the original map
                            Do the same thing with Subtracts
                            When you reach the intersecting part, use Deintersecting instead
                            Export that brush too.
                            Now just import the subtraction brush into Ued3 and ... subtract with it
                            Do the same with the Addition brush, and tada... You have your self the original map.

                            However there are semisolids that I still cant figure out how to move over... Good luck.

                              as far as geometry goes...its MUCH simpler....

                              1. Open up ued2 and 3....
                              2. Open up the map in ued2
                              3. right-click on a brush and select all brushes
                              4. right-click transform perminately (if you dont, nothing will be copied to the right spot...it is BAAD!)
                              5. copy
                              6. paste in ued3

                              Now you have your bsp stuff...movers nad other things are still a problem, not to mention a good portion of the actorz and worst of all, textures

                              I tried once to convert some texuters...the first pack that I tried to convert went perfectly...the second....it would crashe ued every time I tried to open it... Once you have your textures you have to place them and ALIGN them....but yeah, as far as bsp stuff goes, its MUCH simpler....
