Now ive managed to get the banners set to the way i want. But my next problem is the background. I save an image that i want as 1024x1024 .tga 32bit, import it in and compress the image as DXT5. Now when i go into the game, the image is 50% larger and now I cant see the whole image. Why is this?
*edit* Ok, I understand. The whole file has to be 1024x1024 but the actual image within it has to be 1024x765 or something.
great job but it doesnt work for me, i did exactly what installation said, - i made sure they extracted to their folders and i even re-extracted and overwrote them . When i get to the main menu after the logo intro its a pitch black screen, console and everything still works its just all black
Same problem here. I really want this to work. I extracted the files, and made sure they were in the correct directory.
I changed the UT2004.ini just like the readme said.
Opened UnrealEd and the textures do exist.
I get a black screen. Console works, but no menu.
Am I supposed to change something in the XInterfCat2k4.ini?!
If so, the readme should state this, as there was no suggestion of anything needing to be changed to get your gui(the one posted at the top of the thread) to at least show up.
Does it have something to do with having the latest patch installed on my game?

MainMenu is just the group of textures you have to import it into. So it will automatically have that.
Yes that, and ther is only ONE mmbgnd.
Look closely enough and you will see the others might be numbered or such.
And the latest patch is no problem.
Running here too.
