    CTF-HL-2Fort
    Based on an old Half Life Team Fortress map of the same name,
    2Fort is a frantic and challenging map for Unreal Tournament
    2003 & 2004. Warning: Teamwork required!

    I'm bringing these out of the loft (2004 versions - both
    night and day) for a clean-up and visual overhall.

      my favorite map from my favorite game, TFC...

      really nice work man, feels weird with the translocator tho(no special bomb jumps to get to the other fort)

      there was another 2fort map here, but I was a little dissappointed with it, didnt look like the actual map. I thought noone would make another one, but you did

        Yeah... the Soldier Rocket Jump, Grenade Jump, Double Super Jump, Sniper Jump from tower to tower.. LOL.. those were the "old days" of Q1 Team Fortress when the mod came out in late 1996. Servers used to run this map repeatedly back then.
        I missed sniper ammo in this map recreation. Any chance to adding it in?

          originally left it out to limit the amount of snipering each person could do for each life.

            I just copy-paste my comment from nalicity here. I think that's already answered by the aouthor, but I like to post...

            "OMG, this map ROCKS!!! I didn't play the original, so the layout was confusing at first, but there's plenty of cool action in this one! Bots do quite well, but they don't seem to defent too good. I like that it's possible to do double jumps in the thigth corridors, too. Minor issues:
            -my personal fav. weapon, the Flak is out of base
            -the water surfaces are insonsistant: the outside water feels metallic (obviously to prevent sniping swimming players, but that's WRONG*), and the inside water doesn't even seem to show up.

            But this doesn't prevent this map to be a MUSTHAVE!"

            PS: waiting for the final release!

            *= it's wrong, because they have enough cover by the bridge itself, and if they come up to have a breath of fresh air, it's their risk. I think it would be good to put another super-powerup-pickupbase where the flak is, and put the flak somewhere else, into the base. And perhaps make some corridors in the basement higher for doublejump.

                    This map is TIGHT! I remember playing this map in Quake, Kingpin, and TFC (those were the days)

                    I tried this map out, and I can definately say that the author has stayed true to the original, with the exception of the textures, which have been greatly improved IMHO.

                    I don't care for playing CTF being that I mostly play ONS :bulb: but I could definately give this one a spin with a bunch of other peeps online.

                    I have uploaded it to my site I hope the author doesn't mind the additional mirror!

                        I got a complaint....maybe it's just me because I don't see anyone else complaining....

                        1) The entrance to the forts are too small...I have to crouch just to walk in and out of it...I played the original 2Fort but I'm sure the entrance ways were bigger

                        2)The spawn point area...I easily sneaked inside and hid in a corner so everytime a bot spawned, I would kill/injure it.. Maybe you should add a turrent in the room(like the ones in Assault) like the original one so it could kill any intruders.

                        Other than that, this map is awesome but I wouldn't mind if you added those things I just told you

                          You have to crouch to get in . Well I'm sure that was an over exaggeration . I'll check these out and see what I can do.

                          I am going to be looking to see if I can get the lasers working from 2K4. If you enter another teams respawn area, you'll get shot to f*ck. hopefully.

                          Door opening speed, sniper ammo, and water will also be looked at. Will definately make the water translucent for next version.

                          Not at all, the more thw word is spread the happier I am. Thank you! I'll be noting down all the mirrors and hopefully getting the new version to all of them.

                            OMG! Loved the original, and love this one I'm glad you tried to follow the original. I wonder if it's possible to recreat the TFC flag rules rather then CTF, so you can cap anytime.
