    SwitchArsenal 6 Beta

    Changes from SA 5a:

    All mutators have been fused into a single class.

    Added SwitchArsenal Equipment. Add items to the players' starting inventory beyond what SA Weapons gives them.

    Random Sets can be placed as ammo and baseless pickups.
    This means SA can now be made compatible with multi-ammo guns like in Chaos UT.

    Random Sets now have a chance factor, so items can be more or less likely to spawn than others.

    New GUI Style.

    Next I will attempt to add more functionality to SA Classes, including the cost system. I have to work out the logic on how its going to keep track of how much buying power people have.

    How bout points? Each class costs (x) amout of frag (game) points. Change classes too much, loose the match. Frag more, Change classes more, win.

      Taking away frags for changing classes seems a little too severe for me. I was thinking more of each frag nets you x points to spend on classes.
      There are many options I thought of, each changing the role of SA Classes.
      1. No Cost Classes: You respawn as your last selected class.
      2. Cost Classes: You have to "buy" cooler classes. The trick is figuring out when they have to pay.
      3. Shop: Instead of classes you pick items you can buy in game.

        The 'Buy' system is a REALLY good idea!! I've been REALLY wanting a 'Buy' system for a LONG time!! This would be sweet, especially if you could buy things independantly, like weapons and health!!! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!!

        As regeards the idea, I really encourage you to do this one!! Just please... make sure that ANYTHING you do is COMPLETELY compatible with UT2003RPG... .I ALWAYS use the RPG mod, no matter what, so as long as it's compatible, THIS WOULD FRIGGIN R0X0r!!!!

        [edit] As regeards buying classes, just make the cost user-selectable, like the weapons.
        Also, in the next version of Classes, PLEASE add more abilities along the same lines as Speedup and Highjump.... Maybe Slowdown or Slowturn? Higher/lower health? Shield? Invisibility Gun? Those would be cool things for classes.

          The 'buy' system is starting to take shape. The bots sure as hell don't know what they're doing, but I was able spend my FragBuckstm on some goodies. Right now I have some basic "awards" to play with:

          25 Health
          50 Health
          50 Health Super (max 199)
          100 Health Drain (You lose the added Health over time, max 999)
          25 Adrenaline
          50 Adrenaline
          100 Adrenaline
          25 Shield
          50 Shield

          Weapons work with the buy system easily. I just have to make a class with the weapon in it, set the cost, and put it in the class list.

            How bout adding a feature that allows players to vote on weapon sets, that would be extremely useful

                How bout giving an admin the ability to "give" items if they do certain things for a server like participation points, if ya earn enuf, then an admin can grant a player allweapons for a round that would be neat as hell

                  This mutator is on the way to be the ultimate weapon/item replacer.

                  The CUT2 weapons working fine with SwitchChaosUT but you forgot the flaming bolts for the Crossbow.
                  And it would be perfect if its possible to get the GravityBelt into the itemlist.

                    Yes, WeaponVote, that idea had occured to me. After I get the SA Classes upgraded I might look into that.

                    That sounds like it would be best implemented as a separate mutator.

                    The explosive bolts? They should work... They only have a 1/6 chance of spawning though... you can change the chance factor by editing the random sets, though.

                      There are 4 types of ammoclasses for the crossbow, standart, poison, flaming and explosive.

                              Anything that is an inventory and that works automatically when given to a player can be bought.

                              I've still have some work to do, like cleaning up my HUD interaction for the FragBuckstm display and I probably should do something so the bots will buy items. Then I have to update the interfaces so you can activate the new buy mode option.
