DXT5 set to "Alpha Texture" should do it. If not, try a final blend.

yeah, already tried DXT5 w/Alpha. usually simply enabling mask is enough, but it really doesn't work out so well with this hair.
kk, tried FinalBlend for the first time, set to FB_AlphaBlend, Twosided, AlphaTest, AlphaRef at 102,

looks better! but might require some more tweaking..

::update:: tried using Shader instead of FinalBlend, and looks much better. while using Shaders decided to use some TexEnvMap's

Make sure you do some more testing w/overlay effects like link and shock hits, and standing behind trees, grates, windows and other objects with transparency. Plain shaders can do funny things when transparency is involved, including completely disappearing or being drawn in front of the transparent or semi-transparent object. The hair will still probably work best with a Finalblend using that shader with Alphatest enabled.

The body texture doesn't need specularity. The only things that could actually use shininess there are the buckles, and that would never be noticeable. All the fabric there on the body are flat, dark, non-reflective materials. I've seen a few skins set up with very subtle shaders for flesh, but really, that isn't necessary either.

Several mods won't work with skins that use anything other than a plain texture for the body, because they add color overlays. The default white bubble texture will appear instead. That's why I always put add a least one shaderless variant in my skinpacks so they will be compatible with those mods.

thanks for the comment! glad you're looking forward to the download but they are still WIP.
besides, hunterman has yet to fulfill my request.

The body texture doesn't need specularity...mods won't work...they add color overlays.
hmm, good advice. i'll have to do some more testing with the shader textures.
if it completely disappears, shouldn't it load the fallback texture (masked original).
tried this shader with finalblend, & anytime i use finalblend on this hair texture, i get this problem,
            http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/9...ino0wip6fb.jpg
which i can reduce by increasing the alpharef but it eventually reduces the quality of the texture.
actually, i'm not done editing the body texture, gonna get rid of that denim-looking texture
and make it a flat black & then rely on the spec for a latex-like effect.
of course, no model 'needs' spec, but i think this character would shine with proper use of the effect.
yeah, noticed with your joanna dark model, i might consider doing similar by releasing an extra shaderless upl file.

            more Domino shader glory!

wow, these look great too. Domino is totally sexy. I love brunettes with short hair. XD

Looks like your wip is SS 2? I love that game. Best thing I ever bought on Steam. Who could not love parrot grenades?

yeah, I had problems with character skins that are just shaders

when the character got hit, his entire body became invisible, and only his head/helmet remained lol

PS: I think you should something create VP of her to make great fit (or should use any female voices).

Yeah, looking forward to the voicepack for Deadpool that HellDragon-HK will most likely put together.
For Domino, i imagine some existing female witty voicepack would work. else, someone would have to watch all of 'Wolverine & the X-Men' for soundbytes.

i really appreciate the enthusiasm & i'll prolly rush a release as soon as i get a voicepack from HellDragon-HK.
& here's updated Domino using spec mask for first time,

i might consider replacing the entire body mesh altogether though, & use one of Lara Croft's catsuits.

not sure have you tried 3dsmax maybe due to it being serious engine 3?

Forget about importing that, it's a wild goose chase. For Serious Sam HD and BFE, the files are intentionally encrypted by Croteam with their new 'credentials' system. Not even the SeriousEditor will let you export them to an importable format nor will it let you edit them at all, which is why player models for the recent Sams are pretty much lucky guesswork. You can get models into Sam, but you can't get them out.

......which means Deadpool will never see release!
