Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger, Classic Alien - Character Models

Here is few characters I am currently working on. I hope to get a few links to each up this week.
The three models are work in progress, and I hope to try to get them to work well.
I am very happy that tidel has made a Milkshape3d tutorial for importing model characters,
as well as the help he has given to me, for if it weren't for him, I would not have been doing character imports.
Much appreciated tidel, thanks a million.

The first model Jason was a little tough, and have to give Tidel some credit for his contribution
in helping get the textures and neck issues to work for me.

So here are the 3 beta models I am working on, and may there be many more.

    Jason Voorhees

    Freddy Krueger

    Alien Classic

This was my first model, he was a little tough.
I fixed his scale a little like tidel said.

I really wanted to get a beta done before Halloween.
I know he needs work, I think I may just redo him.
I made some bad decisions initially and I will get back to him.

It only took me less than an hour to put this guy in the game.
I wish all models were this easy.
He might need a little work, I also need to fix texture.

Some stuff that would go good with models that aren't mine:
    Crystal Lake Map
    Nightmare On Elm Street Map
    Freddy Krueger Voice Pack

    ah, they all look awesome!
happy to see you're pumping them out so quickly now.

i must say, Jason was a tough model to begin with.
usually i try my best to preserve a models scale but that model needs some adjusting.
from the image his feet look a little sunk into the ground so
open up his animation file in UnrealEd, and decrease his Mesh > Translation > Z value to lift him up a bit.

i didn't notice the feet issue on jason until i was taking these screenshots of him,
i think i was so worried about his neck, i neglected everything else,

the freddy model is the first model i have tried using vertex weighting,
it was going good until i got to the shoulders,
well the knees i think had problems when i reduced triangles, the vertices were not that even,
the pic doesn't look too bad,
my experience with weighting is getting better but still needs work

so based on the screenshot, does jason have a custom knife weapon, or is the knife just permanently stuck like that??

Ballistic Weapons does have knives by pressing 1 (or he does created a custom machete weapon mutator ).

I posted a link for two of the models, i will try and get freddy up in the next few days, i wanted to fix a few things.
The machete looked good with Jason, not permanent, I used the Junk Wars mutator from Ballistics Weapons mod.
I really like these models as well. I always wanted an Alien for UT2004, but this is the best I could find.

tried out Jason, looking good & appropriately threatening.
one thing i would do is try balancing his vertex weights from Pelvis to Spine2, another thing i didn't understand very well when i made the tutorial.
                something like this,

                  something like this,
ok, i will tryi it out,
i have been working on my weighting skills on the freddy model, its like i fix his wrist, then his elbow don't look right, some of the problems with freddy is when i lowered triangles, his vertexes did not have even rows of vertexes, its like the vertexes are all over the place, i tried moving some of the vertexes but in doing that it creates more triangles

ya those spine weighting techniques are working out well,
i am trying it out on a zombie model,

i have another model that has a skeleton and joints assigned,
i wish there were a way to swap out its skeleton with the mercmale from humanmaleA,
only because the vertexes are already assigned

Really nice looking models so far Parkis G. Are you using one of the default skeletons? If you were able to give these guys some special animations (e.g. a punch, claw, slap, or slash animation) it'd be much easier to turn these guys into invasion monsters. Any chance of that happening?

i used the default skeletons for these models, but if there is a way for me to add some extra animations i will, i have some zombie models i am working on which do have extra animations, i am still new to this area but i hope i can learn more about getting that to work for future monster usage
