HoN, what is it?
Well, HoN (Heroes of Newerth) is an online game, it is based on DOTA (A popular map for Warcraft III, wich is more like an hole new game). In HoN you enter a game(like a server, we call it a match), then there, after all the spots are full, we choose an hero, character, to play with, each character has 4 unique abilities, the fourth ability(A.K.A. Ultimate or Ulti) is the most powerfull of the 4, you will only be able to get this ability at level 6, and then at 11 and then at 16 (the normal 3 abilities, go each of them till lvl 4, your ulti till level 3 and the atribute boost goes till lvl 9) wich you will level up trought the match. In each match you can get to lvl 25, that is the max. Some people may think that then they'll have a character at level 25 int he next match, but they won't, in every match, all the heroes start at level 1 with 1 point to spent in their abilites (you get 1 point each time you level up). After everyone loads up, the match starts, after the match starts you'll have some gold, this gold is for you to buy some itens at the begining in the store (starting gold depends of some variables, that are: -Random: If you random a hero, instead of choosing the one you want, you'll start with more 200 gold then you would normally do; -You pick: then you'll start with the default base gold, that is 603 gold; -Repick: if you picked or randomed an hero that you don't want, there is an option to repick, repicking will cost you something like 200 gold.). To get more gold besides the starting gold and the 1gold per second, you'll have creeps. But what are creeps? Well creeps are AI controlled units that will follow a path to the enemy base, but until they get to the enemy base, they'll need to destroy some enemy towers that are in the way, and to kill the enemy creeps that want to do the same to your towers. So to gain extra gold you need to last-hit this creeps, by landing the killing blow on them. You can get also extra gold by landing the killing blow on them or for killing streeks. In the map you'll find also neutral creeps, these creeps are in the jungle that is on your side an in the jungle on the enemy's side, these creeps are in groups, for example a group of 3, they will respawn every minute after the game started (0:30 ; 1:00; 2:00; 3:00; 4:00; 5:00;...), they will give you more gold and experience than the enemy creeps, but they are harder to kill, and deal more damage to you, still they don't give you as much experience and gold then an enemy hero. The game has 4 maps, 2 of them have a big boss. In one of the maps (Forest of Caldavar) there is one giant creep called Kongor, this "neutral creep" will giev you gold and experience when killed, for example if you kill him at level 1 you get to level 5. After killing Kongor, he drops the Token of Life, wich will ressurect the holder instantly after dieing in the place were they died with full HP(Health) and MP(Mana). In another map (Watch Tower) there are two of them, but unlike Kongor, 1 of them gives you The Token of Stealth, and the other The Token of Sight. The Token of Stealth will make all of your team heores inside the range invisible for some time. The Token Of Sight will allow the holder to see further and to see trought the trees. All these tokens are destroyed on death (Not shure about the stealth token, never had it because it is not an usually played map), and The Token of Stealth will eb destoryed on use. In these 2 maps that have a special boss there is a place were runes spawn, these runes are: -Double Damage: A.K.A DD this gives double damage to the one that picked it up one buff that will make him give the base damage he deals, but two times for 30 seconds; -Regeneration: ...; -Illusion: ...; -Invisibility: ... .
Will finish the description when I get time, sorry.
