    Cnc Vehicle Pack Beta

    Curently I have the Mammoth Tank, the Medium Tank, the Nod Buggy, the Nod Artillery, and the Nod Light Tank in game. I will likely polish up the textures before another vehicle is added.

    If you make the MLRS, I claim the mesh. I've been working on the code for one in my spare time. It's based off the SPMA- I just wish I could figure out how to implement multiple firemodes.

      Im not looking forward to the MRLS, cause i have no idea yet how im going to code the missiles >< Artilery is finished, and added to top post.

          Meh, the way the MRLS works in my "creation" is similar to the SPMA- launch a camera, then fire the missiles at a set target. But it's much cooler.

          So far I have a version with high explosives on the warheads and a version with cluster missiles.

              Lol silly South Africans with their firetruck-esc howitzer. Ive mucked around with the arty a bit, its a lot slower now, has custom sounds, and is scaled fairly well with the medium tank. Still seems a little fast though, and i can rip apart bots in a medium/mamy pretty easy with it ><, anyone have any thoughts on the balance so far?

                Ya know I realized something.

                Jumbo-sizing the Medium tank's turret and putting it in place of the Mamy's turret AND putting in a mini version of the mamy's turret ON TOP of the jumbo-sized medium tank turret kinda looks like Brawl from teh Transformers movie.

                  Eyes the COR mod. Mmm been working on the buggy, decided that the model that was in ren was a little meh, so i made a new one, its uvwed, in game, not got team skins, or any skin for that matter, but its a load of fun to drive. The filefront file is updated, go take a look at the first post to dl/take a peek at the screeny.

                    Great stuff - love the texture style - reminds me a lot of the first game.

                    How long did it take you to get the code right? I've been experimenting myself but have only got as far as vehicles that explode after 20 feet of driving, that bounce into the air like they're made of rubber, or that drive sideways.

                      The coding inst too difficult, most of it is finding something similar (buggy is quite similar to the scorpion) and just changing the names of things (sounds/textures/models) to ones in your own package, then tweaking other variables so it drives like you think it should. Pm me, and ill link the tutorials that i used to learn how to get stuff working in game.
                      Added some skins to the Buggy, and been messing around with articulated treads on tanks. It goes moderatly well, need to get the treads to pan now, and figure up a clean way to make the tank handle a little more link a tank. Take a peek at the first thread to take a peek at the buggy, and the medium tank fitted with articulated treads.

                      I was soo tempted to double post, but anyways, ive been messing around with the treads on the medium tank a good bit, and have worked out most all of the cosmetic kinks. The tread texture pans, the treads move up and down with the wheels, the wheels spin in all the right directions. Im happy with them as they are, especially for the small ammount of coding it took. The most recent version of the file on filefront has the updated medium tank. I have not yet tested the new medium tank on a network yet, i dont think there will be any issues, but before i go ahead and convert the mammoth tank, and do all the future treaded vehicles in this manner i would like to do a bit of net testing, If youve a server, or a couple of computers on a network, kindly download the pack, and through the Medium tank (the articulated one has the letter A on the end) in a game, and let me know if it does something funky. Ive also managed to (sorta) figure out how to capture video using xfire, so if your after a moving picture sorta thing take a peek: http://www.xfire.com/video/603c6/ I still need to tweak the torqe, and weight of the medium tank, cause as you can see in the video, it has a tendancy to just go over anything in its way.

                        HOLY S*IT THATS AWESOME!!! way better looking than the Cncut vehicles mutator the models in my opinion were a bit off looking if you know what i mean :P

                          Alrighty, Im updating the file on filefront as i type this. Ive tweaked the suspension on all vehicles, the Medium tank A is no longer an unstoppable driving machine. Ive also added a Mammoth Tank A which has a fully articulated suspension. I was hopeing to make the Mammoth Tank as maneuverable as a Goliath, but seing as it is nearly as wide as a Leviathan, that aint gonna happen any time soon. I have done a little testing in a netgame with the new tank locomotor, and it seems to work fine, mind you it was a lan game, and it will probably lag a little more than a normal tank on a netgame. Mostly because the physics simulation of my tanks are a little more complex than the Goliath's. Ill continue to tweak the vehicles, and probably try and add some fire animations before adding any new ones, perhaps ill even make a mutator to add them so you dont have to download something else to see them.

                              Curently none, I might end up adding the Orca as a replacement for the raptor, and a fancied up transport chopper. Right now I'm working on the vehicles that are already in there, at this moment, firing animations, and then probably some emitters, then perhaps, if Im feeling daring, Ill muck about with uscript and see if i cant get a Vehicle replacement mutator going.
