    Looking for weapon modeller.

I would like a weapon model to be created for a rail-gun type weapon I have made, to go with all the others I have done so far (http://www.cheese83.freeserve.co.uk/unreal.htm).

If you are interested and dedicated enough to follow through with this, then please either reply here or e-mail me with some examples of your previous work. If you can skin it too then that is a bonus.

I will send details of how I would like it to look along with a test version of the weapon to the successful applicant.

Sure, I'll make one. Previous work... do you even have to ask?

Ok but it's 7am and I'm going to bed. I'll wake up around.. whenever. :bulb: Shouldn't take me more than a day to do anyway, I love little one-mesh side projects to keep me from getting burnt out.

Mr. Evil you are the **** of UT2k3 models. You and Sosilencer should do this rail weapon for his lazer instagib.

Well model looks nice.. But that yellow texture.. Wouldn't it be more nice looking if that was a rusty old yellow texture?

That's a fitting model. I can't tell from that angle, but it looks as if the spikes at the front may appear a little big from 1st person. I would like the skin to be mostly silvery and clean since it is suppose to be a new, very high-tech weapon. I'll apply an environment map to parts of it to make it shiny.

Also, I forgot to mention in the e-mail that you should be aiming for a poly count of around 1500-2500.

I would have, but since I've already used four of his models I thought I'd try to get some from a wider variety of sources.

Oh well NOW you tell me. :bulb:

Also, might help if you told me where to find some silvery skins.

ummm.... The new engine can handle the polys, why not use a few more? Cut some holes in the crescents and add a bolt head and rivet here and their. Your skin definitely needs some hardcore shading as well. Weapon meshes have to be prelit cuz they only receive crappy vertex lighting. It's too bright.

That's a 3d Max render which doesn't show the textures how they will appear in the game, and I was going by the average 2k3 weapon poly count (4-500). Now that I know I'm definitely going to rework it to make it more detailed.

Ok, I just stole the texture from your Parasite gun and used that. Going to redo the sniper scope on top and I think I'm about done.

                            Updated pic up above.
