Voice Pack Starter Question

I got the Homer Voice Pack tutorial, read it, got to record all the sounds for my custom voice pack but when I click import, select the sounds and press OKall there is nothing on the new package list.
My guess is I haven't saved the sound files in the correct format.

They're in Windows PCM (.wav) format, stereo and 22050 sample rate.

I don't think you read the above...
I didn't say there is something wrong with the tutorial, i said there must be something wrong with the sound format.
can you tell me which is the standard for sound files? I mean wav properties, how many hz etc.

I believe the stereo part is your problem. I "think" that the samples must be mono.

I just converted them to mono.
Still, i make a new sound group: JDSsounds, then click ok
the tutorial says I should delete the first default entry by right-clicking on it. I'm not sure what it is there for, but deleting it didn't seem to help, as I clicked on import afterwards, found the sound files and clicked OKall, but the files didn't show up on the menu. Instead the whole sound group dissappeared.
When I didn't delete the first thing and then imported the sound files the files still didn't appear. Instead the sound pack remained with only the first entry.

Are you positive there are no spaces in any of the file names or any of the folders they are contained in.

id also suggest you lower the sample rate or your voicepack will be huge. either 8 or 16 mono is fine for voices... 22 stereo will be way big... then again if its just for your personal use, go for it!
