I don't know how the RPG mod works, so I can't really tell what might be wrong.

This thread is outdated btw. I've really released Mercury Missiles 2 a while ago.

Wormbo, I downloaded the latest version from your site, and I must say that I really like it. Just one problem though, I added it to my UT2004RPG server and the splash damage from healing-enchanted mercury missiles still cause damage to the user. But healing still works normally when targeting other players. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this (make splash damage heal the user?)

Best mutator I've tried. Too bad about the weak rocket jump. But I guess it wasn't intended as a rocketjump mutator :P

For those of you who are interested in that, Dynamit (he resides in #unrealed at enterthegame.org usually) will make a mutator that adds more "kick" to the rocket jump that will work with Mercury Missiles 2, or any other mutator.

Thanks again Wormbo for a great mutator

    [Release Candidate] Mercury Missiles 2

So here goes, this is a release candidate of Mercury Missiles 2 for UT2004. This means, unless bugs pop up the mod will be released in this state. Please help testing it so I can release it before the UT3 demo hits.

With the Mercury Missiles mutators you have a rocket launcher that shots high-speed rockets and has a configurable zoom feature. The rockets even accelerate after being fired and can penetrate opponents once they reached a certain velocity. You can even get special awards by hitting more than one opponent this way. Also, Mercury Missiles can do headshots and there's an announcement for killing opponents in mid-air.

There are five different mutators available in Mercury Missiles 2:
    • Mercury Missile Arena - A configurable arena mutator for the Mercury Missile Launcher
    • Mercury Missile InstaGib - InstaGib mode (regular damage to vehicles, though)
    • Mercury Missile WildFire - WildFire mode (high firing rate; quite fun, actually)
    • Mercury Missile Launcher - Only the Rocket Launcher is replaced
    • Mercury Missile Sniper - Sniper Rifles and Lightning Guns are replaced

Except for "Mercury Missile Launcher" mode splash damage is reduced to 0 by default, so it actually requires quite a bit of aiming to kill opponents. SDplash momentum is still there to push things around, and actually there's even a "Rocket jump boost" option to increase the amount of splash momentum you receive when firing a mercury missile below your feet while jumping. Finally Mercury Missiles pays special attention to the Double Damage pickup by not only improving the adibility of the firing sound, but also giving amp'd mercury missiles a purple glow. Unlike other UT2004 weapons, mercury missiles fired with DDamage keep the damage boost even after the player dies or DDamage wears off.
