Tracker for RoAR ideas / bugs

OK, so I know that the RoAR thread is closed, and for good reason. It became a flame war and the actual helpful comments got completely buried. Anyway, I'm a bit excited to get to refining and reworking these maps and making some more, but I can't do that without the helpful comments so many of you have made, which have since become buried amongst the shouting.

THUS, I present the RoAR bugtracker - not just for bugs but also suggestions and ideas. If you care about the future of this mod, help me out by listing your ideas, fixes, etc (as well as if you've got a real bug) on the bug tracker. It's been up going on a week and it's still got only the two bugs I transferred from the RoAR forums. You can be lazy and just use "Guest Login" if you like, but registering allows you to vote for bugs/ideas - highest voted gets fixed or implemented first.

    URL:
    http://anubis.cwru.edu/roar_bugs/index.php

Only reply to this thread if you're having problems using the tracker - I do NOT want another shouting match. Thanks _soo_ much!

This will not work. Roar has already said that they are not willing to take suggestions about their mod.

You should put this thread on Roars private team forum, not in a public one.

      * Rachel slaps you.

      What did he just say?

Besides, Doc_Edo doesn't speak for the entire team.

        True dat.

Indeed, many team members have been quite responsive to suggestions to tweak their maps for 1.1.

If the team does have people that are receptive to feedback, then by all means let them speak with the community. So far this hasn't been shown very well, so I think my statement was fair.

If your ready now, I will lay down the first suggestion: go back and look at the closed thread and get all the comments that you and your team think are useful, work on them, and release 1.1 . Then come back here and ask for more feedback.

Re: Tracker for RoAR ideas / bugs

Abyzmal, I vote you as new RoaR leader. Doc_EDo is so stubborn and immature that its astonishing how you guys got any work done at all. It's nice to see a respectful, courteous member of the team

If you paid any attention to the other thread, Doc_Edo was the only one on the team that acted like that, a few other members showed up and DID ask for feedback and WERE courteous.

It's really nice to hear your notes of support. And I definately want to point out that there were many others besides me who have listened to your comments. I've so far only been a coder, but I hope to see what I can do to improve these maps. Also thanks for all your comments on the main RoAR forums. We'll do what we can to make as many of you happy as possible.

                    hi

I consider abyzmal the leader of the ROAR team also, not Doc. I will try this mod out personnaly and give comments. I've actually only played UT assult a few times so this is kind of exciting to see what it's about.

See for semi newbs like me who aren't familiar with UT...this mod is something TOTALLY new for UT 2k3 players like me(my first experience with UT was on Sega Dreamcast), so your work is definitely not in vain.

Rachel, stop attacking me for speaking my opinion. To me it seems like your trying to fill Doc Edo's empty place. The whole point of this thread was to allow people to speak their opinion without being flamed for it so Roar can get some real feedback. I spoke mine already (twice), each with a flame from you. If you keep attacking people, you make my initial statement pretty **** true, huh?

Roar, I stand my statement that I think you should immediately start working on a 1.1 release taking whatever feedback from the previous thread you deem valid to heart. Release 1.1 or at least a feature list and then post it in this thread or a new one asking for feedback. Basically I think you have enough food the last the winter if you know what I mean.

You're not being attacked, David. Rachel's just pointing out that you are making some unfair generalizations. I've yet to see any RoAR member other than Doc act poorly and this thread clearly states in the opening post that RoAR is willing to take suggestions. It's hard to consider "Roar has already said that they are not willing to take suggestions about their mod" to be an opinion when it argues directly against fact.

Otherwise, I agree with you. There's enough feedback in that closed thread to last quite a while, I'm sure. Chop chop, RoAR, back to work

david... yeah it came off a bit harsh

i'm sure you didnt mean it, as you're a sensible guy.

ok... move along... back to regular thread topic.

I didn't mean to come off harsh at all. My misconception that Doc Edo represents your team makes my statement incorrect. It should properly read: Doc Edo has already said that he is not willing to take suggestions about a mod he worked on.

Everything else I have said I believe to be fair or helpful and is based off of my opinion.

EDIT: I have posted my feedback (start work on a 1.1), lets hear from some others.

all the feedback I could think of has been posted in the other thread like you said SoldiFlux. Work with that and come back for more if you want more from me. Can't think of anything to add to that (but somebody might be able to).
