My second voicepack from yet another movie that is close to my heart. Starring Pam Grier and Samuel L. Jackson directed by Quentin Tarantino. This is mainly a deathmatch voicepack for taunts but there are some acknowledgements and friendly fire sounds too, and some other lines from the movie I just couldn't pass up adding in.

New voicepacks are always welcome, and JB was a cool movie...

However, the volume probably needs to be turned up a bit, and I personally prefer single-character(or at least single-gender) VPs. It's a bit weird if bots taunt you with multiple voices, kinda ruins the 'realism'.

Got any plans for a female VP, btw? A Kate Winslet or Gillian Anderson pack, for example, would be mighty sweet.

Hey thanks for the input. I turned up the volume a notch so I think it should be good now. I'm going to be posting a "Malibu's Most Wanted" beta vp soon, it's a funny fluff movie that I think got overlooked.

It's funny you should mention a female vp because I know there are hardly any of them out there. The "Lois" one from Malcom in the Middle is my fav. I really want to do one but I can't really think of any female characters that could provide enough one-liners for a voicepack. I'm betting Gillian Anderson would work but I never watched the X-Files and as for Kate Winslet... again, I don't know if she has enough lines to make a voicepack. I'm working on it would be the short answer to the question.

And as for single-gender thing, I guess it doesn't bother me, I just like to laugh when I kill someone.

It does make me wonder though, does it bother other people if more than one character is in a voicepack? Or at least more than one gender? Curious...

Got a link for that Lois pack? My personal favs are Lopar XL's Enhanced UT Voices for UT2K4 (classic female 1 & 2; best female gaming voices e-v-e-r), the Ally McBeal VP, Aida VP (goes well with the model, heh) and Lucy/Radio Lucy.

Never? Wow, that's almost like never having watched Star Trek or something. But nevermind, it was just an example.

She's been in quite a few movies, so theoretically there should be more than enough material for a VP (or 2). But, again, just an example, any sexy/sophisticated female voice would do.

Btw, instead of (cumbersomely) making stuff from scratch, maybe you could port some of these UT99 custom VPs? Especially the Babe, Kitharobot & Buffy packs are excellent, and should be, uh, preserved for posterity or something.
