    Description: Another map I have been working on for quite some time. I'm dying to release a TDM, hell.. just a map for UT2004 before the release of UT07. Map has a nice amount of z-axis I think. Try it. You may just end up liking it! I'm OPEN to layout and WEAPON placement! so pleast let me know! PLEASE, no comments on details and such.. please no, "lights need lightsorces" and such. Merely gameplay here.
    Comments: UPDATED: 12/24/06 - For those who played the last version (if any), I've made some pretty drastic changes to some of the areas of the map. I've opened up some of the areas, as per JoyStick's feedback. Moved the amp to an open area, which requires either a liftjump from the very bottom of the pit, or a dodge-jump from the upper area. Improved pathing. Added 2 more lifts. No eye candy yet

      Looking good, DL'ing as hell!

      Btw, got to love the oldskool feel and smooth fps of these castle style beta maps... In fact, some of my fav maps are unfinished (abandoned) betas. Sometimes less is more, etc.

                  Lookin pretty good! It all seems pretty neatly and logically laid out. I can't say there was anything that jumped out as needing changing or adding in terms of pickups. What angle are you looking at taking with theme?

                    I'd like to follow the egyptian theme. I know, it's not really original, nor are people real big on it. But damnit, I've always loved the style and theme, and it's what I want to do.

                      I have always loved the theme aswell.

                      I tested your map last night, and, well, i think it's darn-near perfect as far as lay-out goes. I got lost a couple times, but details should fix that. I liked all the weapon placements and stuff, the room with the dodge-ramp seemed to have the most trafic (played with bots), but the rest of the map got some action too. Nice job!

                        Fair enough on the egyptian theme if it's something you always wanted to do. At the tail end of 2K6 you can always use that theme, and then re-release for 2K7 with a theme catered towards pleasing the community. Perhaps there could be an extra angle you could add on to the egyptian theme, so it stood out a little more from the rest?

                            This maps kicks some serious ***! Excellent layout, weapon placement, and z-axis, and the Egyptian theme has always been one of my favorites.

                            Didn't really think there was anything wrong with the previous version (except for a broken Link gun(?) pickup), but this one's pretty good too. I think I'll just keep both for the time being.

                            Yeah, sorry about the lame comments, but imo this map is pretty much fine the way it is. Well, an XL version with a partially flooded crypt / sewer section, interactive deathtrap, and an additional level on top would be nice, but that's just wishful thinking I guess.

                            Anyway, nice job, I'm really looking forward to your 2K7 maps.

                              thanks. i made some more small changes. in the minigun room, i raised the floor slightly where the 4 adren pills lay. in the shock room, i got rid of the.. bridge thing there which was inbetween those rectangle columns. i replaced it with a walkway which i think helps the flow a bit better. if you will, let me know what you think.

                              well, since i'm not really getting that much feedback on this new one, i think i'm gonna start finalizing it. i need to zone it as well. eek. let's hope for a beta soon! front page has been updated wtih new dl link.
