Looks good I will give it a try!

[EDIT] I tried this and it is good but very early in development. I think this could be quite good with more added..Nice work so far Akila team.

I do use a PS2 controller keyboard and mouse at the same time. I have a USB adapter which does not require any special drivers because windows will see that as a new USB game device and I am pretty sure likewise with the XBox controller. So before you install any additional drivers I would try it without first on the controller issue. Unreal engine is pretty much set up to swap all aspects of game control devices ie keyboard, mouse, gamepad, ect and simple edit of the game or mods user.ini should get what ever you want. Dont really need a Gamepad/controller to play this..

So there should be no reason why the games user.ini or interface would not allow you to bind any keyboard keys to default controller buttons or axis X Y Z slider analog or digital. I will also give that a quick test to see how this will work without a controller!

Yes this is simple to configure via the ProjectXUser.ini "NOTE" you may have to save the changed ProjectXuser.ini to the desktop first then delete the old one from the ProjectX/System then bring the one from the desktop in.."Another note" this does not have a DefUser.ini so you might want to copy the first one ProjectXUser.ini to the desktop then rename it to DefUser.ini then add back in there as your back.. That should be in there as part of the mod structure but probably got missed! Looks like theres some ini stuff you guys may want to fix in the next release! Look at UTXMP for how they did there mod structuring.

If you dont have a controller then just go in there and look to see how the moves ect are set to the joystick numbers and swap those to the keys or mouse buttons of your choice. Some movement functions are allready set to the keyboard like W S A D ect ect.

Also you might want to open the ProjectX.ini and in the [WinDrv.WindowsClient] area set the StartupFullscreen=True and set the res to what ever you like and also make any other adjustments in that .ini as you like!

See the thing with this mod it it does not have a full GUI menu interface yet but hopefully the next release will. You guys should get someone to set that full GUI up im sure it not be too complex!

Also you can start this from the community mods area section after starting your UT2004.exe.

Well I am not having much trouble playing this but I am not really sure what your intentions are or your goals are for continued development of this mod.

You probably should look into making a configurable user interface similar to other mods like UTXMP or Damnation are a couple that I have that have there own seperate user interface. This would allow players to config there controls and display and sounds ect ect from a seperate interface that does not intrude on the UT2004 interface.

Then I would maybe try to set this up for online melee battles using existing DM maps or make a new gametype to include DM maps but remove via gametype Mut any pickup elements in those maps so as to not mess up this games battle weapons and magic ect.

I think if you were to do those 2 things ie, make the full interface, and set up online play linked to DM maps, then you really set the stage for players to use this!

This is really good work here so I hope you can develop it more along those lines to start. Also you could maybe add a few more player models to use and also set up a sub editor for this.

Good Luck! I can try to give you a hand if you want to PM me or get me in messenger..

It's just a proof of concept of a game idea a company I used to work for had. The game idea didn't go anywhere so I'm just putting the code in the public domain in case people could learn from it.

Have you tried to contact the creator? In his User profile over at Atari you can find his ICQ and YIM numbers and can send him an E-Mail as well. If you can contact him, be so kind and ask him if he uploads it again for the public, I kinda missed the release of this mod and would like to try it out.

I sent him an email and a msg on ICQ.
Hopefully he still uses the accounts and will get in touch.
If not, its a shame a great mod can not be explored for its gameplay and its code.

i recieved a reply from Castaa and he has kindly sent me the mod, along with the code.
I have uploaded it to my Filefront account which anyone can download from.
                      http://files.filefront.com/ProjectXz.../fileinfo.html

I hope to see more mods like this one in the future, pushing the unreal engine by modders further than thought possible.

Just had a great idea for a mod actually...it's probably going to be too big for a one-man-band so I'll post up the idea later on.
