    Server Logo 3 released

    Server Logo allows you to add a logo to your UT2003 server which will be displayed to all clients connecting to it.
    The logo can move around the screen and fade in/out and you can also play some sounds if you want.

    New in version 3 is the ConfigManager support and the option to add the server logo as a mutator instead of a server actor. Also the sound volume should be fixed now.

      in serverpackage's do you add something like this:

      Serverpackage=MyLogo.utx or something?

      and what is the best size you can have for a logo
      128*128?? or is it all the same

      and what do ya haveto add if the texture or sound don't have a group
      package..name ?

        Server packages are always package names without the extension. (the engine doesn't care about the file type as long as it's an Unreal package)

        If there's no group name simply use Package.TextureName. You'll have to find the best texture size yourself, it depends on your logo.

          Hey, this is cool! I'm done making a logo sample BUT am a little lost on packaging........

          Do I need to package my logo as a .u package and if so what steps can you give me to prepare the .u package for my logo?

          Or......can just UTX be used?

            ServerLogo doen't care. Put it in whatever package you want, but usually you'll want to use UTX.

              So if I were to use UTX and regular UAX file it would be like this?

              ServerPackage=MyLogo
              ServerPackage=MySound

              Do I have to put the new packages in the system folder so that clients download to their cache?

                Well, I've tried to get it to work and used the example as mentioned in previous thread BUT server crashes....I assume you can't use UTX or UAX ..they have to be compiled as .U pack...

                  I'd have to thank KillBait.......

                  anyway, I have made two packages...

                  ldlogo.utx
                  ldintro.uax

                  both files in the packages are same name as package itself so no need to make files look like:

                  ServerPackages=ldlogo.ldlogo
                  ServerPackages=ldintro.ldintro

                  Correct way is.....

                  ServerPackages=ldlogo
                  ServerPackages=ldintro

                  Then.......

                  [ServerLogo3.ServerLogo]
                  Logo=ldlogo.ldlogo
                  LogoColor=(B=255,G=255,R=255,A=255)
                  LogoTexCoords=(X=0,Y=0,W=0,H=0)
                  StartLogoRotationRate=0
                  LogoRotationRate=0
                  EndLogoRotationRate=0
                  StartPos=(X=0.500000,Y=0.000000)
                  pos=(X=0.500000,Y=0.300000)
                  EndPos=(X=0.500000,Y=0.500000)
                  DrawPivot=DP_LowerMiddle
                  StartScale=(X=1.000000,Y=1.000000)
                  Scale=(X=1.000000,Y=1.000000)
                  EndScale=(X=3.000000,Y=3.000000)
                  FadeInSound=
                  DisplaySound=ldintro.ldintro

                    UAX files always go into Sounds and UTX into Textures, the System directory is nothing special in terms of packages or downloading.

                    And another thing: Never use the same name for different packages. UT2k3 doesn't use the file extension when looking at packages, so using MyLogo.uax and MyLogo.utx would be WRONG!

                      Check it out, it's working.......to keep downloads minium I decided not to add sound.

                      of course, you'll need to download and install:

                              No, your problem was the missing ServerPackages entry.
