    Fort Constructor v 1 beta

    This is the first beta release of Fort Constructor.

    Fort Constructor allows you to build a fort using Karma objects (Works online!) to defend your flag. Then fight against the other team, just like CTF.

      Sorry this is off subject, but is the AH/64-d longbow Apache still around for d/l? All links are basically dead. Looks like awsome vehicle. Thia mod looks great too, BTW.

        **** i made that choper a long time ago...

        I might be able to find the files and actualy finish it, i was a noob back then and could not get enought of it to work to release it (and it still needs uv maps :P), but i might finish now that im back into ut.

            That would be great. Thank You. I love using Helos in UT2K4 especially in VDM, VCTF, or ONS.:up:

              This sounds like a source forts clone but its not in hl2. its in ut2004 that and im not thinking this would reach out very big. it would be kinda hard to attract people especialy those who already know what source forts is for hl2.

                  Thanks for the replies, i found a way to reduce the chance of blocks falling thru the world in net games, you need to set NetServerMaxTickRate higher in your Server.ini (35 - 45 is good).

                  Also i would like to know what people would like me to do to make it better, im already planing on adding more game types.

                  Shadow12, what do you mean how do you play? to get the gametype open just go into instant action and select "Fort Constructor". or to join a net game do it the same way you would any other game type.

                  As for actualy playing the game, go over to the big red buttion to spawn objects, and use pri fire to pick them up and sec fire to freeze them.

                    Wow, this mod is amazing... Although it took me literally an hour to figure out "Oh, you press E!" and when I placed the walls well, the bots didn't know any better, and so shot right into them, blowing them up. Also, the opponent bots had no clue either...
                    I have one suggestion (assuming this was meant for multiplayer), and that is to make an assault-like beacon on the button, saying to press E.
                    So far, I think it's a great mod, and should we get enough people, it will own. Oh, and I think the default building time is way, way, way too long. Love it though. Keep up the good work.

                      Ill work on adding bot suport for fight mode, but there is no way im going to make them able to build (honoes the bots are taking over ).

                      What i realy need now are some mappers to get some verity in the game.

                        How is (lack of) bot pathfinding reacting to this? Does it throw them off completely or do they eventually find ways around?

                          I was actualy rather suprised, they kinda know where things are and dont fall off.

                          Actauly i had a rather funny moment where a bot had a sheild gun up on a platform and jump off and smashed someone on the head with it :haha:

                              Played this for about an hour, really like the idea. Bots kept running into my walls and knocking them down. Watch out when spawning too many blocks it will lag. Found bots actually sitting on button and spwning some. There is a bug when running with block, you seem to fly across map. Keep up good work.
