    vCTF-Ice2 [alpha | pics]

    Just got back into UED and decided to try and salvage my first vctf map.

    This time around everything's around 50% smaller, no infinite jump boots, and no ridiculous amount of jump spots. Hey it played well with bots, but I forgot what actual people would be like (jumpy jumpy jumpy.) :noob:

    Anyway, before I start seriously fleshing out the map I wanted to get some feedback on the layout, size, and vehicle placement.

    At the minute each team starts out with one Raptor, one Manta, one Hellbender, and three Scorpians. No Tanks, and no vehicles from the ECE, though I'm thinking of trying it with a umm... forgot it's name, not the Cicada, not the SPAM, but the other one... slow shieldy thing.

    With the current two jump pads in place for each team its possible to get half way over the map (almost?) as fast as a Manta, not sure if that's a good thing though. But whatever, feel free to tell me how much I suck. :up:

    A tad too dark in the pics.

        Lighting should be improved by about 167% once i'm happy with the layout.

          Looks really good, first VCTF map i have Downloaded, looks pleasing to the eye Personaly i like the dark lighting:bored:

            may be a problem with my version, but everyone spawns at eachothers bases in a mix, and the bots dont take the flag without encouragement.

              It's just a modified version of ONS-ArticStronghold....

                There are no path nodes, the Bots wont do anything, this is just a quick alpha to test the layout and vehicle count/placement, it's not supposed to be playable in any way.

                Actually it's a modified version of vCTf-Ice, which in turn was based upon BR-Icefields. I can see where you're coming from though, snow can be pretty confusing.

                  Silly, post beta vctf maps on http://www.vehiclectf.com. A lot of community people there and access to the admins for the popular vctf servers.
