    CTF-NoTitleYet

    Name: No title as of now, something close to Phobos.
    Version: 0.1
    Compatibility: UT2004, Patch 3355
    Description: This is a 1on1 CTF map (expect not too big). The setting is a space station in the Phobos system (hence the phobos skybox i will modify a bit later) I am trying to make this map as easy on the eyes as possible, and as of now only 10%, (maybe LESS!) is done. No download as of now yet, if anyone can get me a place to host this beta I would greatly appreciate it Please dont flame this map without some constructive criticism >_< thank you.
    Comments: Thank you Epic Games! I think im also going to make BR, DOM, and DM versions of this map

    First thing I notice from the screenies is too many obvious stock meshes. Everything's looking good besides that though...

        I haven't learned how to use 3ds max or Maya yet :bulb: im sure i will replace some of these soon because i found a thread that lets me export from blender3d directly into UT2004 but for now Im keeping these.

                There. Anxious people. remember this is an ALPHA and im completing sections of the map one by one. The Bridge s of the ship are half done, and the hallway in the middle with the useless teleporters are just there so i can walk between the bases when i testing them

                        Not looking bad at all. You might want to consider shaking up your lighting color a bit, it's looking a bit bland in places right now.

                        I really like the second pic, but I'm not too crazy about the second to last one: the fact that it's simply a subtracted cube with some support meshes stuck to it is a bit obvious there. I think it's also this area that Nicolaz is referring to when he says "obvious use of stock meshes". Using stock meshes is ok, but sometimes it's better to steer clear of the more frequently used ones, or try to use old meshes in new ways.
                        Personally, I was never any good at that, so I just learned to use maya.

                          Yeah that i realized. but now I made the radius of the lamps lower and increased the brightness alot. Also, I lowered the overall brightness of the rooms, but increased their radius to show the seams of the BSP less.

                          Yeah, these support meshes are too shiny compared to the walls.. so i think im going to use the skin properties in the staticmesh's properties to fit them with a more suitable texture

                              Here are some new screenies for you:
                              Third Floor Cargo Room:
                              I've decided to two more floors to the level and make it 2-6 players instead of 1v1. expect more hallways and work.. :P

                              Updated Base Support Meshes:
                              I've skinned the support meshes with a more appropriate texture. I don't know if you can notice this...

                              Blue Base Floor:
                              You havent seen this from the last screenshots i posted, so i thought i'll do it here.
