people actually use those for gaming? bleh... the nightmares... i checked one out at best buy when it was brand new... i think its identical to a 510 for the MOST part... of course theres those additions but i think thats about it... and i dont consider a smooth wheel an addition... more of a nuisance

You do realise that the MX518 uses the exact same sensor as the Diamondback? (actually that's not true, the MX518 uses an updated version)

Everyone else should get an MX518.

Yeah, it's funny. All the mouse manufacturers are using the same sensors made by Agilent, but they all pretend that they're using their own super-special tech, like Logitech's "MX™ Optical Engine" or Kensington's "DiamondEye™ Optical Tracking" or Microsoft's "Give Us Your Money You Mindless Fools™" technology.

Well, I suppose it gives the brand loyalists something to squabble about.
