Does the scroll wheel have "clicks" or detents when you scroll it? Or is it smooth scrolling.
I am thinking of getting this mouse, but I cannot stand the smooth scoll wheel. The new MS mice are like that. I have an older MS explorer 3.0 that's left click is wearing out.
    It clicks.

I think all logitech mice got clicks.. all 5 once I have do anyway.

people actually use those for gaming? bleh... the nightmares... i checked one out at best buy when it was brand new... i think its identical to a 510 for the MOST part... of course theres those additions but i think thats about it... and i dont consider a smooth wheel an addition... more of a nuisance

I'm sure glad people are buying up these MX518 mice though,
because I'll be poping their heads off with my Diamondback
while their counter shots will be going under my left arm pit
            or over my right shoulder.

You do realise that the MX518 uses the exact same sensor as the Diamondback? (actually that's not true, the MX518 uses an updated version)

Yeah, I own both mice. I'm able to make my own comparison.
Everyone else should get an MX518.

Ooh, that's almost begging for a match.

It is begging for a match. (Actually, I'm just looking for an excuse to get a 1on1.)

So, Chiln... looking for a 1on1?

Yeah, it's funny. All the mouse manufacturers are using the same sensors made by Agilent, but they all pretend that they're using their own super-special tech, like Logitech's "MX™ Optical Engine" or Kensington's "DiamondEye™ Optical Tracking" or Microsoft's "Give Us Your Money You Mindless Fools™" technology.

Well, I suppose it gives the brand loyalists something to squabble about.
