    Thank you

    Returning the favor:

It's not perfect and I left a bit of the edge on on purpose.

LOL just noticed a stray pixel up on the top

Here's the U too in case anyone wants it:

    Layered PNG:

The Manta. I'm not sure how correct it is, it was hard to separate the map from the manta in that scan. Hopefully someone wil scan it better soon. The colors could be way off too, it was a guess.

I didn't cut it out - I just took a desaturated copy of the image and applied it as an alpha channel, and used that to mask what I didn't want. I even saved the non-desaturated copy (with transparencies, of course) as a PNG, which you can grab here.

Your way is probably more effective, though, because my method preseves the shadow-gradient around the image. Because that shadow is grey, it will look bad on dark backgrounds, unless you make particular alterations (which vary depending on how you want to use the logo.)

For example, after I had the alpha channel, I just inverse-selected it and dumped black. Then I put the image I wanted beneath that layer. I also did some other things to tweak it so it looked just right (such as adding the gradient, adding a slight blur & glow to the image, etc), but what I just described is exactly how I did the effect where the image shows through the logo.

Sweet. Freaky double post, or double thread I should say, lol. Maybe I'll do a few and drop 'em in.

    That's badass Virax!

When I have some time this weekend I'll try to do something with the vehicle scans. The aren't the best quality though.

    First one is 1600x1200

Let's keep this one going until the game comes out
