    Omega drivers = KICK ***

    O..M..G..

    I've never used Omega drivers before, so didn't know what to expect...

    sooo, ATI 9800np card using the 3.8 driver set two days ago, benchmark results at HOLY ***** settings, 1024x768

    fly-by
    dm-inferno
    16.942251 / 118.777763 / 400.781464 fps
    Score = 118.865784

    botmatch
    dm-inferno
    7.456184 / 57.411697 / 294.407898 fps
    Score = 57.403702

    respectable, right?

    now, upgraded to Omega 3.9s, and immidiately added 2x AA and 4x AF

    Fly-by
    dm-inferno
    19.561838 / 142.437332 / 387.180084 fps
    Score = 142.570145

    botmatch
    dm-inferno
    9.492823 / 57.020966 / 281.386688 fps
    Score = 57.026310

    so flyby = MUCH faster, WITH the added detail, and botmatch the exact same...WOW.
    then tried bumping up settings, 2x AA/ 16x AF

    botmatch
    dm-inferno
    10.805010 / 54.601978 / 283.150879 fps
    Score = 54.591591

    OK, 3 FPS drop for ALOT more AF.

    now, with NO AA/AF
    botmatch
    dm-inferno
    10.811184 / 52.544353 / 269.974884 fps
    Score = 52.549400

    Guess they are optimized for use with AA/AF enabled eh?

    One more test, 4x AA and 16x AF:

    botmatch
    dm-antalus
    18.842766 / 47.895016 / 90.992165 fps
    Score = 47.911808

    I'm a convert...OMEGA DRIVERS RULE!

                I have been using his drivers since I first seen them.
                Ill normally wait till he gets a new version done before i dl from nvidia or ati
                Cause with ati @ nivida you have to dl a ton of extra **** to oc,or mess with more adanced settings.
                The omegas are a all in one package
                the nvidias even have real "quality" drivers:up:
                When I used nvidia performance drivers,they were allways faster than the default nvidia drivers.

                I use a 9600 pro and I noticed the same thing,that aa ad af only affects my max fps,but my avg is the exact same with it on or off(and thats @ 6xaa-16xaf)

                http://www.omegacorner.com

                BTW the 3.8/3.9 wont hurt your card-thats just dumbphucks messing with something they dont know about that normally burns **** up

                he has the 3.9 omegas now:up:

                Also there might be something at his site or in his drivers to turn your 9800np into a 9800 pro

                  and if you'll notice, the ones WITH AA/AF are only EXACTLY the same/ MINOR FPS loss. I happen to LIKE AA/AF, so these are GOOD for me, as they allow me to use them at 0% FPS loss!

                        Omega's nVidia drivers also work great on my GeForce 4 Ti 4800 - prefer 45.23.

                            I got the 3.9 omegas day before yesterday and noticed a big improvement. It fixed some stuttering issues I had with the latest CATS. Im not one for messing with AA and AF so with regards to those I couldnt say. The initial ut loading screen I saw a 50-75 fps increase. I find the loading screen a good measure of what new driver releases have done to my frames. Im gonna go mess with some AA and AF settings I think.

                              Dble Post

                              Something I just noticed with these drivers. Try selecting a texture in UnrealEd......."YOU CANT".

                              I know the cats had this issue with AA or and AF enabled but it seems to do this with the omegas no matter what.
