It is urgent that I delete IE. I cannot play UT2004 or any game without a pop-up coming up. I do not use IE but instead FF. But if I delete IE my windows cannot browse or open folders. Is there a way to change them to open with FF so I can delete IE?

you browse files etc using explorer not internet explorer, it should be fine

Try using a popub blocker or a firewall??? IE has a built in popup blocker and windows has a firewall but you can propably find a better one by searching the web.

Man I've tried everything out there I get files deleted I didnt know about but those other files are still there. They don't even need internet to pop up. They will pop up but will say "Page cannot be displayed" inside.

Do you have any Antivirus, and some form of spyware remover installed? If not, you might try grabbing adaware, and hijackthis, which might be able to help remove them.Comment

spysweeper, imho, is better than spybot, but use both, and then 95% of your spyware will be gone.

SpywareBlaster in combo with Spybot and Spysweeper makes your computer well protected.
And don´t forget virus protections.
And I recommend keeping IE, if Firefox breaks and you have to redownload the installer, you´ll need to install IE again, I think you need to reInstall the OS or something.Comment

Any way I can block IE from accesing the internet? My pop ups were gone for about 30 mins then came back. It seems it downloaded them just then.Comment
