Possible to use a Playstation controller in UT with USB adapter?

I just bought a PS2 to USB adapter for my PC. I was wondering if it would work with UT... let me know!

Yes It can be used, but as everybody else is saying keyboard and mouse, after you get used to it will be much much better than the ps joypad will ever be.

I know keyboard is better, I just want to test it out for giggles. Trust me, controller + fps's is a nightmare. But saying that, I still want to try it and see what its like.

*shrug* I use a Sidewinder gamepad in my left hand and a mouse in my right, because I hate using a keyboard for movement in an FPS. (Sorry, but to me, cursor keys are no substitute for a good d-pad. Keyboards are for typing, not for games.) If a company would build a gamepad for the PC along the lines of the Sony Dual Shock 2, but replace the right analog stick with a trackball that acts as a mouse input, it'd be the perfect FPS controller for me--I'd never touch a keyboard for gaming again.

I dunno, theres just a different feeling with controllers. You know like you dont have to be at your desk. With a controller you can curl up with a blanket and play a scary game. Or you can sit close to the T.V biting your tongue with such intensity. I dont regret for a second buying that Playstation controller and the adapter. It's alot of fun and when I connect my pc to my tv I get the sense I'm playing a console. I feel like I'm getting the best of both worlds!

btw, I have that Nostromo gamepad, it isn't that great and I never use it. All it is, is a simplified keyboard, that will never replace my black Logitech Elite and my MX500.

Actually its very easy to play with. I love mine.

Tho, I am finding that some keys are harder to hit if your finger tips arent just perfect on them. Its uberprogrammable and just excellent to play just about any game with.

                          mine...

The keys are slightly larger and spaced futher apart than my keyboard keys.

i still find the playstation (2) gamepads the best there are & bying myself a convertor (smart joy deluxe) was best thing i ever did. although i don't use it to play fps games
