Anti-static wrist straps are cheap, but it's just as effective to build barefoot on a wooden table (or floor) and make sure you're well grounded.

Well, I thought the thread was more about what preparation and safety items the guy should purchase. U.P, you don't actually need any anti-static equipment just as long as you follow a few simple rules.

Be careful of the last rule, unless you are legally old enough to drink and can handle your alcohol.

Anyway, if you want an anti-stat wrist strap, you can pick them up at stores such as Radio Shack, or any other electronic hardware store or outlet.
