I was doing a little research on that procesor last night. It's getting up there close to the AMD 64's in gaming performance. So, yeah, dope. A little pricy though. If you're doing buisiness type number crunching it'll perform very well. With that setup you listed you won't be dissapointed at all with the performance.

Firing Squad gave that P4 660 processor a score of 81% and said it was the best they've seen since the Athlon [from AMD]...they liked it, and they're pretty tough evaluators

Entire system was 30% off from Dell

The entire system would be ~30% cheaper then that if you built it yourself.

                1) I like seeing what kind of new systems people are building/buying.

                2) Your post was totally useless and uncalled for.

EDIT: Oh yeah, nice system. No doubt it's gonna rock. I agree that it's a little pricey though. But if your willing to pay extra for the support, then more power to ya.

There are tons of tutorials on the internet about building PC's, so you can find an answer for anything. It's like a jigsaw puzzle; the pieces will only fit in a certain place on the motherboard.

Still, that is a powerful PC, and should have no problem with any of the games out at the moment. Might want to consider Windows XP professional though.

What is this 660 business? Is it not a prescott or northwood?
