My left elbow is about 6in/15cm off the desk and my right elbow is about 4.5in/11.5cm. No armrests.

My desk is higher than the chair, so I can't use the armrests. It's actually an old office desk think instead of a computer desk, so it has drawers on both sides, and at the very top on each side it has a slide-out table thing, so I put my elbows on there.

Only my left elbow is on the desk. I use arrow keys and sit just in front of the left side of the keyboard, so it's a wierd (but comfortable) angle. Mouse and keys are somewhat far away.
