                  Edit>> THIS WILL NOT WORK WITH THE LATEST PATCH!!

                  In the UT2004/system folder, open up UT2004.ini in notepad.

                  Near the top you will see

                  [Engine.Engine]
                  RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice
                  ;RenderDevice=D3D9Drv.D3D9RenderDevice
                  ;RenderDevice=Engine.NullRenderDevice
                  ;RenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice
                  ;RenderDevice=PixoDrv.PixoRenderDevice

                  Add a semi-colon infront of the D3D renderer line, and remove it from the D3D9 renderer line. It should look like this..

                  [Engine.Engine]
                  ;RenderDevice=D3DDrv.D3DRenderDevice
                  RenderDevice=D3D9Drv.D3D9RenderDevice
                  ;RenderDevice=Engine.NullRenderDevice
                  ;RenderDevice=OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice
                  ;RenderDevice=PixoDrv.PixoRenderDevice

                  Then just save changes and play

                  Indy

                  Edit>> you need the D3D9drv.dll in your system folder, you can get it here

                        Do it, then go play BR and wonder why your radar doesn't work, or CTF for that matter.

                        Or play ONS and wonder why the Paladin's shield isn't animated.

                            It would appear they have removed support for it in the last patch, if you do what I suggested above, then you will be unable to play UT2004.

                            It did work with previous patches though, so if you want to try it, you will have to reinstall an old patch. The D3D9 renderer itself came with the 3204 patch.

                            Indy

                              dx9 should be wiped out, it splits the community
