    Well,

    Like I posted in other thread.

    I wished I had a GPF so I could send a report, but not even that UT just freezes, only at Join Game menu.

    UT can find the news via Community tab so it has connection to the internet, no firewall interfering. Even when I shut down firewall, UT freezes.

    I just installed 3339 patch, problems started since 3338 patch.

    Reinstalled everything but still the same problem. I can't end the process, just keeps running.

      Check your log in your system folder.

        this is the typical error if some firewall blocks the access.
        You did not see anything cause UT is in full DirectX Mode.

        After every patch u have to update your access privileges for the ut2004.exe. in any firewall.

        Give it a try...

          Thanks for the tips, but that didn't help.

          I think my rules where fine, because it could connect to the news server.

          1) Deleted all the rules for UT2004, started the game windowed, permitted ut to connect to everything, still freezes.

          2) Turned firewall off, still freezes.

          3) Deleted my user.ini & ut2004.ini, to start from scratch, turned firewall off, still freezes.

          Because UT2004 freezes, and I've to restart and my log is always 0kb.

          I just don't know on this one...

          Going to install old patch to see if that works.

                @NotoriousBIC

                I disabled that since the beginning.

                Service Pack 2 for example re-enables the firewall.
                Disabled it too and afterwards the services.

                I'm gonna reinstall ut & firewall again, deleting every registry key.

                @Zoeff

                Better unite as we prolly are the only 2 with menu problems
