    Is there a way of making the game even nicer looking?

    Any tweaks in the console, or ini file or anything to enhance the visual quality of the game.

    I have every option maxed in video settings and would like to enhance it even more.

    Thanks in advance.

    maybe the screen res? makes the image smaller, but gives it a sharper look.

      Anti-aliasing and increased resolution, that's about it. You're not going to get Doom 3.

        Any way of forcing directx 9 features?

          TessellationFactor="#" Default is 1, Maximum is 7....I think

          It makes the characters edges a lot curvier and makes the girls look a bit sexier. For real. Im not sure if its for just ATi cards because this is actually called ATi's "truform", it might also work for NVIDIA cards. Works for me, I got ATi 9600. You might have to enable truform in the ATi control panel.

            If you have recent ATI card:
            (ATI players, correct me if I did this wrong - I use NVidia)

            Go into ut2004.ini:
            NPatches = True
            TesselationFactor=(something higher than 1)

            For ATI or Nvidia (dunno where this is in ATI cards though):

            Go to the video card's control panel (GeForce line likes to put a little icon on your system bar that does all this.)

            Set AA to 4x.
            Set Image Settings to high quality instead of performance.
            Set Anisotropic filtering to higher levels.

            Give those a shot, if you didn't already.

              Looks right, however, remember that the Tesselation Factor will also exponentially decrease your FPS.:bulb:

              A good thread about Truform:
              ATi Truform, Good or Bad?

                Absolutely not. They are not programmed into the game, nor is there any appropriate content created for those features in the game.

                Sorry.

                  There was a DX9 driver released with the 3204 patch, but as I don't have a DX9 card, I don't know if it makes much difference

                  If you want to try it, get it here , extract it into your UT2004 system folder, then change your UT2004.ini to use it.

                  No guarantees that it won't make things worse though.

                    Open up UT2004.INI and find 'DetailTexMipBias'
                    Set it to something lower than default, for example '-3.000000'

                        With the latest patch, quite a few people noticed problems with various parts of the game when using the DirectX 9 render. I can't remeber what the problems were though.

                          Set mipmap values lower (try -2, maybe even -3 or -4), max (temporal) AA and AF, and use TrueForm with a tesselation factor of seven (that's max). You'll kill your FPS, but the game will look **** nice. ;D
