    Keeping maps that are downloaded during multiplay in UT2004?

    This has become a pet peeve of mine: I have to re-download (on the fly, while playing UT2004) say, ONS-UP-Sandcrack, even though I had played on the same server, and downloaded the same map, only days ago. Also, when I go to Instant Action, maps downloaded on-the-fly in-game are nowhere to be found.

    I've heard of tools of keeping these maps from being purged, but I'm unclear on this.

    Can anyone enlighten me?

    (BTW, I'm on a Mac)

        Or just set

        [Core.System]
        PurgeCacheDays=9999

        in your UT2004.ini.

          He just said that he is on a Mac, so those apps wont work on his sistem.

          I guess that if you take a look in the cache folder you'll see a bunch of files with weird names and a text file, if you open the text file you'll see the real names and extentions of the files, just rename them and put them in the right folder.

                What about maxcachesizemegs? Set to a couple of gig as well?

                  I've had [Core.System].PurgeCacheDays=0 since I last reinstalled UT and still have everything in my cache folder. No other tweaks were necessary.

                        No. They'll just never be deleted. Use Santaduck's toolpak to get them in IA.

                        Or you could do it manually as BrokenFix suggested... That's what I did all the time with UT99
