In any case, since Terial-DeVo is acting so high-and-mighty, a quick search on the Firefox forums says

network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server = higher than 2Comment

well, if you knew the answer before why did you not just post it... either way, firefox fixed and IE fixed.

It so much easier to do in Opera.
You can set upto 128 connections per server in Opera. I found that 16 is more than enough for my connection.
