I was having a discussion with a halflife2 fanboy the other day, he says he heard of this thing called 3dmark, apparently its all about graphics and no gameplay, it doesnt even have multiplayer. Yep, hl2>3dmark

Another way top but-rape my 2.0 willamette.

                  (9800pro though...)

Gonna buy a 3.2 prescot soon though (cheap as hell now).

                    I never even installed 3dmark '03

Didn't see much point trying to test my Athlon XP1700+ and 128Mb Geforce 4 Ti4200.

This iteration even less so. Good job I'm buying a new comp in the next couple of months.

I did just after its release just for sh*ts and giggles (XP2100+ and Ti4600 here), ran it, got 1616 points, uninstalled and never returned to it. This one I'll happily leave unnoticed.

                        Nvidia leads

In a statement, the company said that in benchmark tests it conducted using 3dMark05, it scored 7229 marks, and that is an industry best.

The tests were donducted using two GeForce 6800 Ultra PCI Express cards running in SLI mode on an Intel Tumwater based chipset, and using a Pentium 4 3.4GHz Extreme Edition processor, using the ForeWare 66.51 driver.

                        no surprise

but there is also bad news, it seams the free demo has only one game test in it (only rumors)

Im pretty sure ATi will pwn nV here, until nV doesnt release some new cheating drivers that is. So now its a good time to test.
