another stupid problem with linux :(

ok, so earlier this week i switched to linux (out of necessity) and after a lot of frustration and weed i finally got ATI drivers installed, and got UT2k4 installed. but when i entered any game i got ****ty framerates, i can't even play my favorite map (deck17) anymore cuz i get 20 fps on it!
in windows XP i would NEVER get less than 80 fps on any map.
anyway, aside from the horrible linux drivers from ATI another problem i found is that my online max. framerate seems to to capped at 50 fps. cuz when i open a tiny 1v1 map in INSTANT ACTION i can get 100 fps on it, but when i play the same map online i can never exceed 50 fps no matter what. so is this some gay bug with the linux version of ut2k4, that someone typed "50" instead of "90" for the online FPS cap ?

Now thats strange, for the very short time i had Linux installed , i got 3412 FPS there, with R9700np

PS now i really tried to post this as flameless as possible. Had to cut out MANY sentences

i think you had higher fps cuz you have a better version of linux, i'm running KNOPPIX !
cuz its the only matherphucking one that can read my partition table, every other OS either thinks i have no HD at all, or can't read my partitions. so i had to install knoppix.
(i'm buying a new HD soon, so i can install windoze and finally start laying down some sick combos on you n00bs)
