Comcast upped mine a few months back. I now get around 400k/s for only $50... not that bad in my opinion.

mmm... technology is progressing... like how gulps of food is moving down my asophagus towards my stomach

too bad the broadband in blighty is too uptight for things like this, they never give any pleasant surprises

Yeah you should be really happy with your fast internet speeds. I have a 1024/512 adsl, and it costs me about 45€ (55$) / month. Yeah and that's the normal price for adsl connections here where I live.

                        AGREED

although currently I'm getting my net for free from my landlord but still it's 512/256

most isps in the UK are doing 1024 ADSL for £25 a month or more. Sucks

If only the UK would just bite the bullet and put fibre optic all over.....

My speed on the same test: 8680.9 kbps (past a megabyte / second)

                          and that's for 35$ / month

NTL in the UK did the same thing last week. I downloaded a file and got stupid (to me) speeds.

Turns out that NTL upped their 1Mb customers to 1.5Mbps.

All for the low low cost of $70 a month (welcome to rip-off britain).
2Mbps costs around $100 a month at the moment
