Alright buy another stick of 256MB RAM. You need to upgrade that card to atleast a Radeon 9600 or Geforce 5600. Your processor speed is a bit slow too...
thanks for the info that is what i want to know

Luckily, i was lurking around or might've missed my specialty thread. CBP2 maps are high ram maps. ONS espicially, are high ram maps. Make sure you have preloading skins off! if you have that on it will kill you. Another thing is your settings are fine for epic made maps that are highly optimized. Just a reminder that CBP2 maps are not as optimized as epics. too get much better fps in the CBP2 maps. i reccomend for your hardware is to turn down the character shadows and turn off dynamic lighting to make it run better. Lights cause the most lag in CBP maps as CBP maps have many. Hope that helps!

You can turn the textures back up with the settings i reccomended. =)

These settings suck.Going to 16 bit will give u a fps boost and not really a quality difference.Take a look @ my settings: [shot]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v237/twist4/Shot00575.jpg[/shot]

Here's how I see components in a Power V Price comparison

Graphics card - you will always get a performance boost
                      Memory - Less HD swapping
CPU/Motherboard - I prefer to change both as putting a new fast processor into an old board would half your performance. It's also the most expensive option.
HD - faster drives decrease the delay in transfering swap to memory

Personally I would go for a new graphics card. The performance boost on my old 1.8GHz 256mb dell was huge when I fitted a 5900 Ultra. You can pick up what were top of the line cards for quite low prices now the new lines are becoming available
