    I need music!

Well, I've been lightly expirementing with whats sorts of music do me best while playing UT. My results show that, of all things, the games music is best :bulb: . I think this is because it doesn't include lyrics for me to sing/think a long to and keeps me focused on the game. Another thing I've found is that the faster the tempo, the faster I can process decisions and the better I play.

While the games music is good and all, I would like to listen to other music. Techno, Industrial, any other music genres that doesn't contain lyrics or lyrics that don't sound like lyrics (ie enya); could you please suggest some groups, artists and songs?

    Thanks in advance!

Liquid Tension Experiment is a good instrumental band. I recommend Universal Mind, When the Water Breaks, and Hourglass (songs).

Most of these songs have lyrics, but are still good.

        [Techno]
dieselboy - "the messiah", most of their other songs are good too

        [Techno Death Punk Rock]
mindless self indulgence - "two hookers", "******", "bite your rhymes" etc.

        [German Rock?]
        Rammstein - any song
        Finntroll - most songs

        [Death Metal]
        Chimaira - most songs

        [Misc]
        Prodigy - "Breathe", "Firestarter"
        A Perfect Circle - "Judith"
Dream theatre - "The glass prison"
Fatboy Slim - "Weapon Of Choice"
Guano Apes - "Open Your Eyes"
        Ozma - "Korobeiniki (tetris theme)"

 Yessir! you are the man! LTE rawk \m/(>.<)\m/

I suggest a lot of prog bands, heavy of light. They always keep me interested in what i'm doing, I never stray from my task when listening to prog. Here are my suggestions :

Dream Theater (yes, spelt with an er)
              Yes
              King Crimson
              Transatlantic
              Tool
              Pink Floyd
              Spock's Beard
OSI <- actually very good heavy prog, i suggest all download that album

edit: I've noticed at a lot of iron maiden fans along the way suddenly become prog fans. but maybe that's what we like to call "growing up"

You listen to music when you play?

Well, KMFDM has a few pretty good non-lyrical songs.

Prodigy - Smack my ***** up
                        Underworld - Bown Slippy
Cosmic Gate - Exploration of Space (the first part is kinda boring )

Good eletronic musics to hear playing.

I find some good underground Drum & Bass fits the pace and atmosphere of the game better than any other.

A good place to start would be here Drum & Bass Arena (No, thats not a UT gametype lol)
