[OT] Surround Sound Headphones??

Headphones make my ears sweat.

I wonder if I'll ever buy all those speakers to get surround sound.
Surround sound still doesn't even support sound coming from above or below you as far as I know.
Stereo was in improvement over mono, and surround is another improvement, but it's still not perfect.

I like headphones better, since you can always carry arround your own, personal sweet spot, and simple stereo headphones should suffice.
After all, you have 2 ears, probably.

I also hope they'll support sound above and below you eventually, because again I don't think they do now either.
Surround headsets sound like a waste of money to me.
Of course that's just me.

Sounds (wow...what a great pun) like a good idea, but i have my doubts if the "surround experience" is really that good?
Its hard to imagine that headphones can do the same trick as 6 speakers...
