It dosen't sound to over exagerated I can see a 7+mega hert processor mid 2004.....but a 4000FSB:haha: :weird: thats just funny can you say "type-O".........I could belive 800-1000FSB not much more......glad to see incresing L2 mem:up: :up:

Also the stacking concept sounds realy good....but could lead to some realy bad incompatibility isues

Well, its only been amazingly accurate for 25+ years. And most engineers and scientists agree that it will still be a LAW(scientifically accepted fact) for at least the next decade.

they are defianatly not coming out in mid 2004. Prescott is not even out yet, and i think it will be around for more than 3-4 months. But i heard that the first prescotts would be compatible with current 865* and 875p boards, and then they would be transitioned to socket 775. So it would seem that mobos will be compatible with prescotts and tejas's

Typical example of fear driven Intel marketing hype.

Pentium 4 Extreme Edition - basically a Xeon MP - massive price premium for minimal performance gain.

AMD64 hitting streets and starting to trounce P4's in majority of benchmarks while still clocked a full Ghz slower. Once faster AMD64s hit the streets in a few months and prices drop, Intel will have to actually get bum in gear again instead of just fleecing customers as usual...

DETAILS HAVE EMERGED of the future design of Intel’s Tejas/Pentium V processor, and of how the chip firm will present it to the world.

There are three samples of an arrangement of the Pentium V here in Taiwan this week, with a very thin processor and lots of wires and patches stuck on it, just to show proof of concept.

The Pentium V could have a front side bus speed of as much as 4000MHz, the source claimed, although this may be reserved for the next chip along, the Nehalem.

Hopefully it's not as leaky as the 100w prescott chips.
Everyone used to say that AMD chips where the hottest. Not true anymore. P4 chips now have an inefficient design....thus the massive energy waste...that is known as heat.

Intel has said that in the future Water cooling will be a requirement rather than an option. If they keep this up...everyone is going to need a promie. hehe

Yea, it's kinda like the Intel Nehalem in 2005. I really doubt they can produce a 0.65 micron 9.6Ghz with an FSB of 1200Mhz anytime before 2006+

7 ghz in Q1 maybe 2 2004 my a$$. The leap would be too big and when that's true that means the presscott only survives for like 3 months.
