Hopefully next game in the series will be UT2007.

          This aint fifa...

Stupid to release new version each year.. Will only divide the community.
A new bonuspack each year would be ok though.

Agreed. UT2004 was definately worth the purchase after 2003. I think BPs and the mod community can keep the game going for a few years (It will only get better as people upgrade due to Doom3 and HL2 )

In that case, what is the next mod or change you would like to see made to UR2004?

Its kinda funny how people talk about "what ut2005 will be like"...in order for it to be CALLED 2005, it'd have to be released end of this year...or begining to mid of next...i dont think epic intends on doing that. I do hope the next installment of the series will be on UE3!

More than just 2005, this is asking the question of where is UT headed in the future?

IMHO, Epic/DE will face a problem. The new engine is going to be very expensive in terms of time and human ressource needed.

How are they going to renew the classic gametypes such as DM/TDM/CTF.
Each time they introduce a new gametype (BR/ONS) they are creaing themselves a potential problem for the next iteration of UT : Is the new gametype worth being returned or not?
Each new gametype has its fanbase. They will have to estimate how much would cost developping new maps for any of these gametypes compared to how much it would cost them in terms of image if they just dropped the gametype.

In addition, UT2004 is already quite abundant in content and gametypes and maps. How would people accept a new game which wouldn't be as rich content-wise as its predecessor?

about project torlan, that will be really cool if they are able to make them virtually one game. although it sounds illegal for some reason, but then again what do i know
