lol I was thinking of that one, but its just that not many people know about it, and it's not as popular since many lcds (mine as an example) run a native 1280x1024

But maybe I'm mistaken....How many actually use 1280x960?????

I use it for both my desktop and UT...
      Is your LCD widescreen?

I'd use 1280x960 if more games would have it. Usually I don't use 1280x1024 at all because the scaling is incorrect and characters etc. look thin.

I only wish, but unfortunately it's not....I haven't tried 1280x960 though, I wonder if it will look as sharp and if it will give me noticeably better FPS.....I'll try when I get home!

              What monitor do you have?

does the resoloution on your desk top affect what res you have in game. my natuve res for my monitor is 1240x1024, so i have the same in game, but if i lower it to 1240x768 it seems to run crappier. :bulb:

I squeek out a bit more fps with 8x6... but I still play with 10x7 just because it's my desktop rez and I'm used to it.

Well, LCDs very often have that problem....They're made to run at a specific resolution, everything else is scaled down on the lower resolutions, so some LCDs do a good job at it while others are horrible and may give the game an incredibly cheap look on lower resolutions

You can read more about them on THG it should give you a better explanation than me
