well in 2004 it is 85, I can print screen if you want. But I get 85 every single day I play DM, when I get an easy 150 in single player.

You're all crazy. FPS cap is based on the netspeed setting.

I'm getting a print screen. This is retarded.

Okay, my mistake, I was only half right.

"Your FPS is limited by your Netspeed, and that the Unreal Engine has a capped FPS of 90 when playing online. Netspeeds below 5000 will noticeably cap framerates for those with faster machines. For example, I get 60FPS maximum with a Netspeed of 5000, but I reach the 90FPS maximum with a Netspeed of 8000."

There you go. And if you say you can notice the difference between 90 and 200 fps, you're either lying, or crazy. It's just not possible.

Yes, it would be, if your netspeed was about 7556.

Exactly. It renders all this bickering pointless.

Vindication. Online, type "netspeed 8000" into your console, without the double quotes of course. That should set your cap to 90. However, no matter what the netspeed, the MAX cap is 90. When you begin netspeed below 8000, the FPS cap begins to change, and it's variation is directly proportional to the netspeed.

My assumption is for every ~89 lower your netspeed goes, your FPS cap is decreased by one. I got that by dividing a netspeed of 8000 with the fps of 90.

So your saying I can get more by changing something client side?

EDIT: I just tried typing in "netspeed 8000" and I got no more than 85. again.

You should be able to get about 5 more max, by doing what I said in my previous post. Set your netspeed to 8000, and your cap should be about 90. Not that it matters, though. ;P

Err. I denno' man. I mean, I could easily be wrong, though I believe this has been looked into further, by those with much more knowledge than I, and the cap resulted as being 90. Not sure.

This could probably be resolved by looking at the code. I'm not sure how this looks codewise, or even if that code is available to the public. MrEvil could probably enlighten us, there; I'm not a coder (not of UScript anyhow, though I do intend to learn soon. Hopefully.), and he is.

Like you said, anything over 60 is ideal, so I'm gonna leave this topic alone now, as I no longer have anything to offer to this conversation. ^_^
